Nice car and really nice sound!! I drive a E28 with S38B38 with carbon airbox and stainless exhaust.

Whatever you say that is one hell of a ferocious monster, in as much as i love the 3.8 i still love the raw unrefined attitude of the 3.6 plus they are more robust as opposed to the 3.8 that though a jewel of an engine you need to treat with a bit more sympathy

@airn2p Its called s38b36 There is also the 3.8 version s38b38 A e23 should have a m106;)

Its a original e36 m3 diff, 3,15. No i did not dyno it, sold it before i did any more to it.

Hi SALLEPWR ur car sounds superb n its a 3.6 from d e34 second time i've heard a lovely sounding 3.6er but i assumed u changed d air box cause i've got last mint 6sp 3.8 n sound great but not as meaty as urs.

omg -.- wenn du gelesen hättest wüsstest du das er einen M3 motor drin hat der bis 8600 U/min dreht....wenn man dann aber noch den normalen drehzahlmesser drin hat is wohl klar das der dann über 7000 geht -.-

the m3 probs handle better than most rwd in wet weather due to it's good front rear balence ( i don't know haven't got one yet) but there was a lot of standing water at that track. the driver gave a little too much throttle around that bend and he lost the rear end. is very easy to do.

True. The engine wont hold forever with this chip. But if you use your head while dirving it can hold for a long time. Actually, the reason i bought the chip was i wanted to remove the speedlimit at 250kmh. The 8600 rev limit was a "bonus". But Ive hade a qouple of m3´s and this one felt pretty fast, reving it hard..

If you have a complete engine, with cooler, loom, exhaust, etc its almost like a normal swap. trottel wire, coolantlines for cabin heater etc are some of the "hard" parts. Yes, if M3 came with a touring-body it would defenetly be a better option, but it didnt, so i built one myself:)

Thanks for all positive comments! I still have the car, but its totally stripped. Planing to tune a 3.8litre m5 engine this time. But have some other projects in the way

Yes, you must be right... A 1.8 surely makes this kind och sound and high-rev acceleration:) seriously.. I did a s50 swap in a 328, and then had a chip installed, that allows the engine to rev 8600
