Hey guys, great video again. I met you at the Baviaanskloof padstal two years ago and this is the trail I ended up doing with a mate of mine. Me in my Pajero (Betty) just like yours and him in his Toyota. What a trip and you just brought back great memories. Such amazing vistas

Joh, what a technical trail. Looks like epic fun. I have the same Pajero as you and met you in the Baviaanskloof two years ago. I went there again this year and finally got to do the entire Bavies this year ending up in Patensie

I am wanting to buy a v6 Gen 2, but only finding the 3.0 and not 3.5 v6. What is it like to drive the 3.0? Does it feel underpowered with only 115kw?

Hi, sorry for the late reply we only got back yesterday...it's 130KW, although it's not something to show off about I feel it is more than enough. Once in low range I feel that those KW's does not even matter, ratios sort of like take over and you can idle it through anything. Keep in mind I installed lockers front and rear so it make a huge difference.

Not overgrown, you guys are just way out of where the vehicle paths are. Every weekend, hundreds of people enjoy that area on dirt bikes. Bashing through to open it for vehicles like this will get everyone banned. Please don't.

Hi Bruce. A week in and I can't complain. It is definitely much more comfortable on gravel roads. I got enough lift from it to allow for bigger wheels (in time). I think I feel a little more body roll but nothing hectic in the sense that it can tip me over on a bad angle...tested it on a 40 degree angle and all good. The front can go higher but I'm careful not to turn the torsion bars up too much otherwise cv's will take a beating. Amazing flex on the rear...not much different in the front due to IFS.

Similar to mine ... i have a 2.8 tdi with dual lockers and 31" mud tires ... the only thing stopping it is ground clearance... otherwise it goes everywhere like a tank. I don't have experience of sand driving, but in mud, rocks and snow i found very beneficial reducing tire pressure to 12-13psi (0.8-0.9bar)

Agreed, ground clearance is its only downfall...but other than that it is the best thing since bubble-gum. 😉

Your clutch control is truly impeccable. No over revving, no delay in engaging it, I’m impressed. I have always driven cars with little to no torque. I wonder how challenging your car is to drive in this tricky situations. Maybe being lightweight and having torquey motor helps.

@@C4M4X4 it's not always easy! Low tyre pressures help, but you also run the risk of debeading. But when you get it right, it's a lot of fun! 😆
