Lambert is one of the few players that would do great in today’s NFL.He’s the blueprint of linebackers today able to defend the passing game and running game very well he would be a multiple an all pro, pro bowler and a HOF if he today

He was the first Jack Lambert. Arguably greatest OLB the game's had, and maybe the smartest.

After all these years Lambert, number 58; is still the most feared linebacker in the NFL.

Lambert’s form was impeccable…. He wasn’t the biggest guy on the field, but his form and ferocity made him a great tackler

Came here after watching the Superbowl 20 blowout loss to the Bears. I tried to watch Hannah every play, and he was the only Patriots lineman holding his own....but what else would you expect.

Never played with a dominant back, but it's the '78 Patriots that set the all time rushing record and rushing TD's mark that still stands. Stout, fast, quick, with flawless technique. A first ballot HOFer of the highest order.

Love all the comments and compliments out there fellas and #73, THE legend, deserves them ALL --- but where is the love for that nasty? That EDGE to finish, I rmean really finish the man in the crosshairs. Football is supposed to be physical and imposing your will on the man in front of you - and Hog Hannah rampaged through first, second and third levels of the best NFL defenses of the 70's and 80's. The guy was amazing --- love his heart, love his nasty. What a football player. -Western PA bred Pittsburgh Steeler fan who loves GREAT Football

The thing that stands out to me (other than his tremendous abilities) is that he seemed to avoid putting all his weight on the QB, even though it was legal at that time. But that may have been enlightened self-interest, because the fans would stop paying for tickets if all the QBs were maimed.
