The endless excuse for an answer when confronted with the issue of heaven and hell, is that many people say they're not perfect yet good enough to go to heaven. So clearly the bible is clear that there's are no good people but sinners, and sinners who fall short of what God's standard of goodness is (Rom 3:23) and there will be no good people in heaven, for only sinners enter in it (Mark 2:17). The bible clearly states that every person who enters heaven, enters not by their own meritorious works or their goodness but solely upon God's grace, mercy, and goodness (Eph 2:8-9, Titus 3:4-5).
