Sweetie, I just looked at your eSIM of choice, and unless I am reading it wrong it’s only data. I just looked at the rates for a few countries I travel too, and frankly the AT&T international day plan that gives UNLIMITED TALK, TEXT, & DATA for only $10/day. Where as Curaçao is around $32 for 5 days and 500MB PER day for a total of 2GB.

HI! Thanks for all the information in the video. Are all the places you mentioned accessible by public transport? Or do you need to rent a car?
@TheAbundantTraveler
@TheAbundantTraveler 2 күн бұрын
I would recommend you rent a car. You may be able to reach some spots by public transport, but not all of them. Public transport may also not run as frequently through smaller towns, so a rental car means you get to travel when and where you want. Great question! Thanks for watching and commenting :)

I have experienced the “English for the hard of hearing.” I have also experienced the arrogance of Americans who think that if you don’t speak English, you’re ignorant. I am an American and I have been around the world, lived in many different countries, speak 7 languages (although some of them are a waste of time to learn). My advice to those who want to travel about; 1)Nobody cares where you’re from. 2) The Bill of Rights doesn’t come with you. 3) It’s not “weird”, it’s (Italian, or wherever you are). 4) If you are expecting to go somewhere where you can get your passport stamped and they speak English, go to Canada, eh. and lastly, the old expression, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do” is something to internalize. If you are a woman and you don’t want to wear a hijab, don’t go to places where you are expected to. Do some research before you go and get yourself in a mess of trouble. Regardless of where you go, it’s still on Earth and they love their children, too. But there are plenty of places where there are significant cultural differences. Some of those differences are legislated. Public photography, for example is a Constitutional right in the United States, but not an unrestricted right in China, for example. You don’t want to find out when your on your way to jail that activities that you took for granted in the US are illegal where you are now. You’re not going to another planet, but you’re not in Kansas anymore, Toto. If you don’t speak the specific dialect, for example the dialect spoken in Rome, no worries. There are plenty of Italians who are not from Rome, yet they visit Rome. They are still understood. Just like if you’re from Chicago and you visit Dallas, you are not going to be “lost” because you don’t speak the local dialect. Now I have lived in Germany and I speak a middle Franconian dialect (Nuremberg). If I traveled outside of the area, depending on where I would have to “tune in” for the dialect, like Bavaria. But when we (my wife who was born and raised in Nuremberg) went to Stuttgart where the dialect is called “Schwäbisch”, they understood us, but neither of us could understand them. Just remember, be polite. People who you WANT to know will be polite back. If they are rude, you don’t want to know them anyway. ❤️

I like the tips that she is sharing. I would add that every traveler is different. I have allergies to a variety of things, so using generic shampoo and conditioner is not safe for me. I decide what to prioritize and if taking a checked bag is what needed then that is what I will do. Also do your research of where you are traveling to, beware of what products are available at your location.

It's best for ANYONE to use only products your body is accustomed to. It's even possible to suddenly have a reaction to a product you've used in the past. You don't have to be a person with sensitive skin to have a reaction. The easiest way to ruin a vacation is to use hotel products, or to go buy something at your destination that you've never used before and react to it. You could end up seeing nothing of your vacation spot but the inside of your hotel. Never take products you bought "for the travel size" unless you at least test it for a week at home (don't wait for the week before you leave either!). For anyone not heeding this advice, oatmeal in an old sock in a warm bath is the best and easiest way to soothe and calm a reaction. The same goes for medicated products you've never used in foreign countries! I get that products take up space. I make my own so don't use all the store bought chemical cocktails to begin with. But sadly, most people do. But do yourself a favor and at least stick with the ones your body is used to dealing with. Vacation in a foreign land is not the best venue for experimenting with new products (especially face products!). A painful rash is always a drag, but at least when at home you can see your family doctor and get medical advice in your native language. Let's play it safe so we all have fun! Safe travels, everyone!
