I love this scene for Sheldon. Watching TBBT he was an insufferable pain in the ass, he was my mom’s favorite character(and albeit mine too for being an insufferable pain in the ass) but he did really love and care for his family.

As anti religion as this show and BBT is, Sheldon does have a point here. He should have pointed out the line of "judge not lest ye be judged". Every member of this congregation is judging the Cooper's. Being a devout Christian myself I'm apt for pointing out hypocrisy myself and sometimes, as a flawed human, I'm guilty of it myself but some of the most elitist and judgmental people I've ever met consider themselves Christians.

Sheldon did make people mad but you know he did stand up for his family. I would've tore that church a new one that not one person in that church would've been able to look me in the eye.

One key essential element of being a christian is not being disgusted by others. Welcoming everyone you know or haven’t met yet with open arms and love. As well as not judging people behind their backs or avoiding them because you think they are horrible. No matter what a person has done or who they are you accept everyone as true brothers and sisters who share a love for our Lord. The only one who is allowed to pass judgment on someone for their sins is the one and only God

This is the hypocrisy you will find in 99% of southern churches. No matter the denomination. In highschool a friend of mine was raped by a church elder. They blamed her for bringing sin into the church. 45 years ago I left never went back.

As much of a church going man I was, one reason why I hated it is because of hypocrites like them in the video.
