Loved your segment on the Spode Christmas Tree dishes. I haven’t put always wanted to collect them but live in small townhouse. They are gorgeous piece recently picked up a cup from HomeGoods. At one point they had a bunch of this scent at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Omg yes drakar is totally an 8th grade dance! lol! Late 80s early 90s!! We must be around the same age, I graduated in 1994.

In telling people the story of Spode Christmas Tree from England 1938 to saying that today it’s readily available and affordable, I feel like you left out an important part of the story, maybe doing your viewers a bit of a disservice. Spode Christmas Tree went from being coveted, quality, Made in England products to now being made in China and have lost the quality and European manufacturing. Leaving the history of when and where the pieces are made gives your viewers the impression that these high-quality, much-coveted Made in England pieces are readily available today in department stores and on the Spode website. They are not! I kept waiting for you to inform your viewers about the various backstamps and what to look for, but it never happened. For those of your viewers who want to be “collectors,” that information is necessary.

I just started buying B&BW candles. I like the large 3 wick candles, but I find myself having to use two long kitchen matches to light them. I began looking at arc lighters on Amazon, but there are so many to choose from! Which one do you think is the best?

Just watched your video! I inherited my Grandmother’s Cuthbertson Christmas dishes, but they have a different border. It has a braided or rope like edge. I took a picture but not sure how to put it on here to show you. Do you know anything about when it was made? It says New York on the back but then says made in Canada. Hope you have some insight. Here in 2023 Dec. Your dining rm is full of character. I love it. In my opinion it has a mini-British vibe to it. So many home owners go for open concept which is fine but your dining rm is total romance & classy. Thanks for sharing your vid & of course the tutorial of the Candle Snugglers. I need to get some. I definitely can relate to what you were saying as far as finding various different pieces throughout various different retail establishments. That is because I use many different retail establishments in order to purchase the various different spilled pieces that I. I have been purchasing Spode since I was 12 years old and I have a mess a huge collection that easily exceeds over $10,000 in value. A lot of my collection has very rare pieces that are no longer being made and a very difficult to be found even through consignment shops or antique shops or even through eBay.

Overall, I enjoy Yankee Candles, but there have been some scents I've purchased in the past whose cold throw smelled great, but when lit you can barely smell anything. One thing that I now use are the Yankee Candle toppers; they help in throwing the scent better, and also tend to prevent the wax from pooling, assuming you keep the candle lit for the recommended 3-4 hours. The one downside is that they only properly fit the YC original jars, and none of their other products (per YC reps). However, right now I'm burning a YC American Home candle (Into The Deep) and have the topper precariously sitting on top of the jar, lol!

I found melting the candle at the bottom. Let some drip in the holder, then let it cool with the wax and it stays better.

Beautiful dining room! I love the sconce, chandelier, ornate mirror, and of course, the table setting. The grandfather clock was a pleasant surprise, too; it makes me nostalgic for my Nana's house.

You can also drop candle wax from another candle into the candleholder then press the candle onto it immediately and it will stick well. This is what we did at the antique shop I used to work at in Mayfair London.

Thanks for the thorough review. The 2022 6oz is in a pine green glass with raised pine needle branches. Im surprised that at a premium price the candle isnt sealed on top. Available at Hallmark stores besides online.

I have a single-wick Rainforest Gardenia candle and I am loving it. I decided to buy the 3-wick White Gardenia. Rainforest Gardenia smells like the real gardenia bloom. I have a few pots of gardenia plants and can only enjoy their scent when the flowers are in bloom. Now I can enjoy the scent everyday.
