Hello, I have a few questions. 1.) After the drone scans a building I need scanned, can a roof square footage be measured and if it can, what is your precision guarantee? 2.) Does the software have the ability to precisely calculate roof square footage, regardless of the roof slope, chimneys, and other "smaller" roofs that are built around edge windows on the top floor? 3.) After taking the pictures, does the app create the required measurements independently, do I create them myself or do I need a DroneDeploy staff to make the calculations?

We will be releasing a more formal case study over the next few months so be on the lookout. In our own independent testing on a residential roof, we found measurements to be within 2-3cm of real world measurements made with a tape measure.

Anyway to incorporate the DJI HighRes Grid into this model? When a super wants to see caulk joints, he doesn’t want to see them from 30 feet away. We want to see them up close, which is where a manual flight and capturing with the telescopic zoom camera is more practical.

All drone data can be processed by Dronedeploy regardless of where it is captured. However, DroneDeploy does not support flight planning for Anzu robotics drones at this time.

I’m new to this so forgive me but I’ll speak on my limited experience referring to your hot take. Oil and Gas has been my entire career so I’ll speak on it. Sometimes projects are changing or information is limited for a number of reasons. I can fly a site in mins but giving it to the consumer can be way more time consuming than flying. I wish drone deploy (what I use) had a way to give the info to the consumer and let them draw and measure themselves without a full monthly cost. In my case that’s all they need, they measure and plan and a week from now when things change they can go to it and adapt. Google Earth is the only thing close I can export to and give them as an option that’s free. A site base solution like drone deploy would be better since they don’t have to install anything on their work computer, resolution is better, and easier to share. Just my beginner experience.

can you make tutorials on how to use the 360 camera, at least for the users of your software, it seems easy, but it's actually not that simple, I'm wondering if there is a maximum that can be a walk. today we recorded a 35-minute walk, it took him 5+ hours to process it for me and I received an email saying that the walk was unsuccessful

Hello there. I want to ask if I can use a Mavic 3E for photo-video and for mapping? I am a photographer and I have a P4P and want to upgrade now. I’m flying an Agras T30 now for spraying. PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It has lost so many drones. I almost lost mine as it crashed as it switches off forward obstacles avoidance system.

Hi Open2Unlearn, sorry to hear you almost lost your drone. The DroneDeploy Mobile app simply communicates with the DJI MSDK to pass waypoints for the flights to be completed. This means firmware based settings such as obstacle avoidance are not controlled by DroneDeploy, and can only be modified from the DJI GO app. If you run into any issues in the future, please feel free to reach out to the DroneDeploy Support Team and we would be happy to assist.

@@DroneDeploySF my default setting has always been that obstacles avoidance system was ON. It has turned it off. Please test it ones. Also please see the number of people complaining about the same on your app forum.

Hi guys! I tried to use my DJI Air 2 S with a DroneDeploy trial version but it was not able to use the camera for first time. Then I uninstalled the DJI Fly app but it was not possible to connect my drone. Do you have some answers to this? Thank you so much!
