why not carry tent inside bag so it doesn't get wet?

@@sandpine99 I haven’t had an issue with it getting wet yet. It did get caught on the barbed wire though once. Ha ha. I got a big contractor bag I can use too if I need to cover it in rain. Nothing I have is ultra light but one day maybe I’ll get there. Do you have an ultra light tent, do you just stuff in your bag?

@ as ul as i can afford. I alternate between a gossamer one and Nemo hornet 2p. I’m using the Nemo for the lash I’m on from Lake Butler, past Suwannee and beyond. I keep both inside compactor trash bag inside my pack.

That is some weird jump around that you are doing. :-) Are you only hiking weekends and holidays?

When did that section, I had to bailed at Christmas to take care of my blisters from all the wading. I also cut over from the Orlando wetlands to the trail and the jump on that grassy deep ditch was sketchy and full of gators. When I found the trail it was just as deep if not deeper.
