Great throws and catches. I missed many good throws from Al Kaline who you should have shown here.

I remember around 1993 or so, some of the dudes in my high school baseball team went to Dodger stadium to watch them take on the Cubs. During warm-ups, I was in absolute awe watching Sammy Sosa throwing laser beams from right field to 3rd base. He had an absolute cannon when he was young and thin lol

If #1 isn't Larson's perfect game to close out the World Series, then THUMBS DOWN and block the channel. That is arguably the greatest single performance in sport's history, nevermind pitching. Oh, I'm a 50+ year fan of The Sox.... EDIT: Maybe it's not ranking, just putting in random order.....?

Randy Johnson's perfect game and 30 strikeout game performances should be included. Greatest lefty I have aver seen!!!

I won't argue with strikeout totals. But how could you leave out Randy Johnsons perfect game? And if my memory is correct, didn't he strikeout like 18 in that game?

Great video, brings back a lot of memories. I think it depends on our ages and how long we have been watching. I can think of quite a few that a case could be made for a spot. Mike Scott in Game 1 of the 1986 NLCS. Jack Morris in 91 Greg Maddux throwing less than 80 pitches for a complete game. It was like 76 or 78 or something insane like that. Jim Abbots No No I can't remember exactly what these others did but I know they did something special. Dwight Gooden Fernando Valenzuela Jim Deshaies Dave Stewart Brett Saberhagen Dennis Martinez David Cone Orel Hershiser Sandy Koufax Jason Schmidt in the Allstar game Madison Baumgartner Tom Glavin Tim Wakefield Jesse Oroscoe Sid Fernandez Jose Rijo Curt Schilling Of course I know we can't have everyone but there are so many performances that we just don't need to forget. Great video.

What about Harvey Haddix 12 perfect innings in a game between the Pirates and Milwaukee Braves in 1959? He lost the game in the 13th on an error by Pirates 3rd baseman Don Hoak and a running error by Milwakee baserunner Joe Adcock. In many fans minds, this was the single greatest pitching performance ever.

This is so ridiculously arbitrary. How is Harvey Haddix's 12 inning perfect game not number one, let alone even on the list? Where are Koufax and Maddux? What about Ed Reulbach's double header shutout? Whoever compiled this knows nothing about baseball, just strikeouts.

At the end, an announcer notes Clemente and Kaline are known as the best right field weapons. But no Kaline highlight is shown! Too bad, because he was magical playing a carom off Tiger Stadium's right field wall.

All great, but as far as simply the most dominating stuff, Kerry's 20 Ks is it. There were a couple pitches that looked like a righty throwing a mid to upper 90's two seem screwball. The movement on it just looked impossible.

I've been watching baseball for 55 years and I STILL have no idea what that 'lane' is halfway to first base. I"ve seen several plays like this where the runner isn't in that lane but is called safe when the ball either hits him or is thrown off target.

@christopherhopkins94920 күн бұрын
Bob Gibson had seen the Tigers scouting report on him, which highlighted his fastball. In the 17 strikeout game Gibson rarely used his fastball and got most of the strikeouts with his slider.

As far as I’m concerned, you could put Dave Parker in all ten. In his prime in 1979 - 81, he would catch fly balls at the warning track and runners at third would not dare run home. That’s how scared they were of his arm. He had a cannon I’ve never seen since. That clip of him they showed was from the 1981 All-Star Game. Parker was unbielievable. I think it’s a travesty that he’s not in the HOF.
