How can they say that they're building a better City for all of us when it's kicking black people out of their homes?? They're constantly raising the rents to benefit others. I was driving down Old National on Monday and saw the habitat for humanity building I kept trying to figure out what this building was going to be and nobody seemed to know. I'm very shocked cuz I said as many cities I've lived in I've never seen habitat for humanity in the black neighborhood. Yes they are gentrifying Old National area raising the rents which is kicking black folks out who is this benefiting all of these changes are not benefiting black people! It does not matter what our input is the city council the mayor's the governor's everybody gives approval to these developers to come in and snatch up what they want do what they want I don't know how much they are lying in their pockets with and I do believe that they are lying in these pockets because if people are saying no we don't want something in our area it comes up anyway what we say is ignored if we say we don't want this apartment complex over here we don't want the subdivision here well here come the builders so what difference does our input make when you do what you want to do anyway?
