For some stupid reason the finishers were removed from the SNES version.

What pissed me off about this game was that Mr Perfect's Perfectplex wasn't held for the 3 count.

Taker must have been the last one to get a mega move and they’d completely run out of ideas..

I have both Sega Genesis and Super NES versions of this game. But, in my opinion, the Super NES version is a whole lot better.

Great video. Loved this game as a kid. Bought it when I was 11 years old in 1993. Recently started making videos on my channel for Royal Rumble and WWF Raw.

Always thought 1-2-3 Kid's finisher was much more of a diving cross body than a "moonsault."

They needed the submission moves to actually cause a submission.

They did. Hence the ref is knocked down during the demo of the sharpshooter. Would prefer Yoko's, Doink's and Kid's to produce a pin though.

I played Super WrestleMania and Royal Rumble each for years. SNES had the overall better gameplay for Super WrestleMania. It’s easy to see the limitations of Super WrestleMania now, but in and around 1991-‘92, it was absolutely brilliant. Revolutionary in gameplay and graphics evolutionary history. Even though the game Royal Rumble is great, it is built on the engine of Super WrestleMania.
@Supperdude9 Жыл бұрын
Of course that's also because of what you had to compare it to before it. A lot of early console iterations of wrestling games did NOT control well, especially WWF games. Super Wrestlemania started a decent run, from SW to RR to Raw, and it wouldn't start getting great until, well, Wrestlemania 2000.
@nickperkins8477 Жыл бұрын
@@Supperdude9 sure. The original NES WrestleMania game is absolutely primitive, and it was primitive even by the gaming standards of its time.

I loved the days when these seemed like legit finishers that could end a match. Old school wrestling had a greater emphasis on match pacing and storytelling rather than high flying and spots. I remember laughing at how bad Hacksaw's finisher was. It's just him running into his opponent but the IRS clothesline looks sick. That one was my favorite to pull off besides the top rope moves. Can't remember any other wrestler who used the Samoan drop as a finisher, but Tatanka's finisher is one of the best looking in the game, and especially rewarding as you only had a limited time to pull it off.
