@BevMattocks The Deisel is normally to help the steam engines so I'm guessing it's because some engines are more powerful than others

I was on the Midland Pullman. It was very nice to see the Northern Belle on our way home and seeing the contrast between the two Pullmans.

@HecticTrainspotter It is, especially when sitting in a station for a short while and everyone looks and waves. The younger lot don't always get it when they see a Pullman pass through, but you do notice the older lot noticing the importance of it and taking it in.

They should really install another crossover here so trains can reverse from platform 1 instead of the current arrangement where all the trains are confined to platform 2!

I think it used to be like that when the Kingswear line was in use but then they got rid of it but yeah it would work pretty well

doesn't matter if the train is delayed, what does matter is that the driver used his eyes to see that the crossing is not down and he probably just prevented deaths from happening

Could you hold the camera steady, or edit out the camera shake? It stopped me watching the whole video and subscribing. I edit using Movavi which you can download free and is good for clipping out the worst of the camera shake.

Invest in a tripod. This was probably the most nauseating video to date and it missed the engine until it had passed. Your enthusiasm and thumbnail are both wins, though. So don't give up. Lessons learned.

yeah I do have one but its really bad so I could do with investing into a tripod
