Thanks Nicole. Check out this page which lists all of the institutes of management consulting around the world. Contact that institute and they can give you information on how to join and start the certification process. www.cmc-global.org/content/member-institutes . If your country is not listed, you should reach out to CMC Global Institute.

Hello Mr. Mihalicz, I have a question for you, I'd be very thankful if you could orient me a bit. How do you ensure accountability in a company with just two partners (that are also brothers!)? None of the partners has more authority than the other. There is not the manager figure in this picture. How would it be possible to account for work if there is not a superior?
@DwightMihalicz
@DwightMihalicz 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Javiera, single points of accountability are very important in organizations. Without them, people can be confused because they will get conflicting messages. The situation you describe is not common but it does exist a fair amount of the time. The ideal situation would be for one of the partners to be the CEO, and the other to have a substantive role such as COO. In a family partnership, this may be a problem because of the family dynamic. The solution then would be for them to split duties in a certain way. One brother might be accountable for the operations. The other might be accountable for marketing, sales and administration. Each would be the manager of the people in those departments. Then the brothers would agree on the strategic decisions together. The problem with this approach that I see when it is used, is that each brother is working from a different set of filters. So even though they agree, when they assign work, it is not completely consistent. In smaller organizations this can be made to work, but the larger the organization, the more pronounced these differences become. I hope this is helpful. It is hard to say what might be best in your situation in your case without knowing more. Feel free to send me a confidential note through my web site if you would like to know more. www.effectivemanagers.com
