Well done, as a locally born Lad now living in the USA you managed to give lots of good information ..... I sincerely hope your cruise is a good one ... there's lots to see and depending on the weather it should be a blast. Be sure to pack a brolly as Greenock is one of the wettest places in Scotland even in July 27th... Cheers, from an Ex Port Glasgow boy in Arizona and will possibly be cruising somewhere else..... I like to bring fold up hangers, 1 for each dress I bring. Spend a little extra and get a sturdy pop up hamper so it will last for the entire trip. Then I purchase a couple of cheap fold up "ikea" cubes. We toss our shoes in those and throw them away after the cruise. When I can find the 1/2 size cubes I bring 2 for storing undergarments in on the closet shelving. Magnets are life along with a sensor night light for the bathroom.

I'm not sure why no one mentions foldable cube storage bin. Not packing cubes, but the ones that are stiff that people put in shelving units. You can find ones that are 10 x 10 or 12 x 12. My sister, mother, and I when on a cruise where I brought 2 per person to keep our stuff organized. We were in a balcony. It worked like a dream. They pack flat and you can label them. I was looking at the shelf in the closet where you had the zip bag. Storage cubes would be perfect in that space. They would use the vertical space well. I roll my clothes, lay the bin on its side, and "file" them sticking out so I can see what is in the cube.

That is makes so much sense. Laying them on the side is ideal, basically creating shelving partitions on the shelf, in a flat pack. I love the idea. 👍 We have a 10 day cruise in January and I’ll trial it for myself. Is it ok to film and share your idea to my subscribers in January? Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Paul. Originally I would try to write my research down. But I am a visual type leaner so I started recording then sharing and so started the channel. To be honest my wife use to do all the research and organisation and I would just show up on the day 😊 As you know time in port is limited you may as well get the most of it. Cheers Jim

We are on her repositioning cruise back to Japan via SE Asia leaving Feb 2025, looking forward to it. 2000 passengers to 2600 is just the right size ship for us. More than that, getting on and off is a nightmare Thank you for the tour, enjoyed your no frills approach 👍😊

Lots of people take them. A travel hair dryer that aligns or changes voltage is not a fire risk. I will check with my wife as hair care is something I do not have to worry about 🤣🤣🤣

Sometimes what I do when I don't have enough hangers is I will hang more than one shirt / blouse on a hanger until I could get more from the steward IF I forgot to bring the kind I get from the drycleaner (metal w/ paper). That is one way to get them out of your home. :) The reason I stopped to watch your video is that we will be doing 54-day cruise round trip from LA to Australia and it's the longest cruise we have done and willing to listen to those that have. Yes, those dry cleaner ones would not take much room in the suitcase. I agree a good way to move them on 🤣🤣 Cool ya heading down under. It’s a bloody long way but you will enjoy. 😉

We have had several cruises of 35 days and varying weather. We used our suit cases under the bed for additional storage. They're great for all exta toiletry items and closes for the different climates.

TIP I pack dryer sheets, which are great for wet or smelly boots/shoes. Plus, use for storing clothing on long cruises 👍

Not that we know. Taxi was $30 and the ship offered transfers to Skybus for $16 each. It’s a 5 min walk to the tram station that goes to Collins St as the value option, although awkward with baggage. Glad you enjoyed 😊

Thank you. I am already regretting choosing a cruise that goes to Le Verdon as I want to go to Bordeaux but I don't relish the 2 hour bus ride there. You answered my question that this was really the only option other than staying on the boat. So I guess we'll be doing that.

Thanks for the video, Jim. I took an excursion to Sevilla from my cruise stop in Cadiz. Seville is gorgeous but it was Feria week and we got caught in traffic so only spent a couple of hours there. Next time, I’m going to stick around Cadiz and your video confirmed it’s worth doing. Cheers!

I’ll take that onboard. I’ve been thinking about reducing it or even getting rid of the music. It has its place in some videos but I agree I need to be selective. I appreciate the feedback. Fairly new to creating. 😊
