Well that was unexpected - in the best kind of way. 👏

This is how I felt every group project in college. Anytime people aren’t majoring in the subject they don’t care about making anything above a C because it doesn’t relate to their core studies. As a CS major this felt too close to home.

I just graduated college a few days ago. Every academic group project is agony because there’s always the one that wants a 100, and another that refuses to do anything/you can never get ahold of. So glad to be done with those kind of group projects.

Most of the short movies I've seen had good actors.....

Childhood trauma, most likely involving her dad. Could be a death, but more likely CSA. She's developmentally stunted at the age it started. The stuffed animals everywhere, her very childlike behaviors, the apple juice, the simplistic ways she tries to keep and make friends...these are all our cues that she's trapped. She thinks that being used and and even treated badly means that people like her. It really sucks because like most kids, she still has fond feelings and memories of her abuser. It's really hard to separate the positive memories and attributes of the person, and the terrible things they did, as well as the terrible effects those actions have on us even today. Poor thing can't even sleep because she doesn't want to wake up to someone coming into her bedroom at night "I haven't had Friday night plans since kindergarten". 😢 That was really sickening to me, because it also said a lot. I just hope she doesn't become dependent on alcohol in order to face her demons now. Once she was drunk, she felt emboldened to be irresponsible and even cruel back to her classmates for being cruel to her, played dress-up in her roommate's bedroom, and told her demon, "no"! Plus, the exchanging apple juice for alcohol in the first place. All adult-"like" behaviors, but not adult at all. Stealing alcohol and getting very drunk is not responsible adult behavior. Invading your roommate's space and using her things is not adult behavior. Slacking off on an assignment and ignoring your classmates, rather than following through on your promise than setting a clear boundary that she will never do their work for them again, is not adult behavior. Unfortunately, she's barely got a clue what it looks like to be an adult, because she's had some terrible modeling. So, I think the alcohol could stay unless she learns more healthy strategies to become a well-adjusted, happy adult. 😢

Participation trophies and a preference for a reality that is subjective as opposed the objective real one that is informed of logic & reason - not feeling & fantasy. These are basically the things thats gone fugged a generation up like jus about FUBAR. The former o the above (trophies) being IMO Ground zero for this travesty o de-evolution thats come o it. The latter being the thing thats sealed the deal - why live in objective reality shiz hard af - whereas in subjective one anything and everything is possible and true at the same time - who doesn't wanna be a unicorn right? Its way safer more comfortabl & hella fun by comparison. How do you fix this? can we? Should we even try? Do we want to? & Could we even be bothered? - I mean, inspite o the fatastical world they inhabit, their really no fun to be around. Reckon we jus whip up another batch using the ole GenX moulds.

OMG...Mira is sooo cute, soooo nice and sooo warm...she doesn't deserve be treated bad or tormented by some damn entity, who should be in that situation, is her damn stepsister.
