Sad mishmash. Now i know why larry left. I went to school with his stepdaughters, esp. Sarah.

There's a song in the background from about 1min10 to the 2 minute mark. I've been a James fan for years and never found out what this song is called. Does anyone know? Maybe it's a cover.

I am going to the James concert at the O2 (small one!) next weekend with my Gen X son. My wife (passed away now) and I last saw them over 20 years ago at the NEC. What a concert that was!

As a musician things can’t get much better than playing live and having a full arena of fans singing a song you have written back to you. An amazing and beautiful mix of feelings & emotions. I remember being at this gig and it was fuckin marvellous, danced crazily all night.

First heard this on a John peel session in 1990 age 15 and managed to record it on tape. Not heard this again for many many years. Like a trip back in time 💗

What will you sell With the glasses and suit Heart and soul It won't wear out That's not enough I want what's inside Fish fillet knife would cut right through my eyes I'm looking for some words To call my own Not worn-out phrases and hand-me-downs They'll knock me In where I stand Put on its back In a corned beef can I'm going under You can feel them stripping me down To the rust inside This is the way Frankenstar is born From bits and pieces others have worn All held together by a management glue Too much glue, and the stars turn blue Turn blue Turn blue Turn blue Turn blue I'm going under You can feel them pulling me down To the holes inside I, I,I, I I, I,I, I,I, I,I, I I, I,I

One of the finest bands to start on Factory Records They have a unique sound and we're getting more attention to the music papers Their album Strip - mine, was quite solid not so folklore, just a dark side of. Pop, just before leaving Factory label James were a student type band with a the likes of the Smiths It was only matter of time that James got their cool heads together to produce Hits like "Sit Down' & many singles to their credit
