There's a mistake on the slide of when to defer ART, the 2023 guidelines says that in a patient with a positive serum Crag and a negative LP, that ART can be started immediately where as the slide says defer for 2 weeks Also the Clinical 2023 guidelines differ from the SA HIV clinician society guidelines regarding VL monitoring. The Clinical guidelines mention the VL at 10 months after starting but the HIV Clinician Society doesn't - it mentions doing a VL at 3 months then if under 50 a repeat 3 months later (6 Months) and if under 50 then 6 months later (1 year) and if there is ever a VL above 50 one is to intervene and repeat in 3 months time Can you please advise on which to follow regarding practice and for the HIV Diploma exam

Since the NADIA trial. Do we now switch patients on 2nd line AZT + 3TC + Lpv/r to TLD despite there being resistance to both NRTIs’s. Assuming patients are virally suppressed. Hence we can recycle the tenofovir?
