I think these bikes are Riese and Mullers response to the German economic recession. People still want a good quality bike, but are now not willing to fork out 5K+ for a Multicharger, Delite or Superdelite due to lack of disposable income. Also the war in Ukraine and Germany’s continued support for them have meant that materials like Aluminium, PCBs, semiconductor chips etc have risen significantly in price. These bikes are probably mechanically fine, made from less material than the traditional R&M bikes which brings the price down to a more affordable level on par with Scott, Bergamont and other continental Ebike manufacturers. They have to do this to prevent themselves from becoming the next Volkswagen

Bought one 2 weeks ago to replace an FS5. The motor is not powerfull enough, it should be using the CX LINE 85NM. Cannot climb the hill I used to. Kindda sad at this price. Very comfortable. Very heavy. Good distance to travel. Very well build. I run on turbo most of the time then today I bought a spare 500w battery for my long trip. I change the seat for a more comfortable one. Suspension is great. Headlight is to high on the bike, this prevent me from using a triangular bag in the front of the bike. The apps E-flow is great. Fenders are rock solid. Tires are big and grip well. Gear changing is easy with Enviolo. Easy to mount since there is no horizontal bar and this is the reason why I trade my FS5. Cheers.

Nice looking new bikes - but all I'd like to know is when I can get a new rear mudguard for my old Samedi X Road 5. The bike is a 2019 model and still great, apart from this design fault. Come on guys, how about supporting an old customer?

I got my Moustache Samedi 27 Xroad 6 ten days ago. On my first charge I got to 246km with 19% battery charge remaining. Absolutely incredible range. I’m not a cyclist by any means. 61 at the end of the month and had hardly been on a bike for 45 years. It’s a great bike, looks and feels just stunning.

Can I challenge you to a table tennis game , keep in mind i’m 66 years old , haven’t played for over 45 years , of course we should have a side bet , let me think ok got it , A bike , I would like a belt drive which is obviously better than any chain drive system, in my opinion that is , you win I pay for the bike , I win it’s free , what comes to mind is you’re not the type of person that is brave enough for the challenge , I might be wrong in my assessment of you but then again I might be right, everyone has to be right at least once in one’s life , take care brave you = not brave me .

@@ekcs3941 what an elitist answer… What I mean is that electric cargo bikes are not for everybody. Only for people with certain paychecks. And at the same time affird to have car that is not, as you put it, rubbish.

@@AccidentalEnduroI'd say the majority of my customers are purchasing via a cycle to work scheme saving 32-47%. Also Tern bikes have a high resale value. In a city like London, it's actually a far cheaper alternative. No fuel, no parking fees, not tax, lower insurance costs and a much faster and healthier way of getting kids around.

In your experience and opinion, how far can one cycle comfortably with this bike? One person said 20 km is a reasonable stretch. I’m looking to use a cargo bike for longer journeys (occasionally up to 50 km one way), as well as shorter. Is this wishful thinking, or are longer journeys also doable? Thanks in advance!

@FullychargedUK2 ай бұрын
not very noisy but it is the noisier motor from Bosch out of the range, a lot of people like it because you can here its power and know when to change gear... come and try one out any time you like.

@FullychargedUK2 ай бұрын
yes there are lots of customers riding this bike of that height. The Riese and Muller HQ is located in an area of Germany called Damstrad. Most of the population around this area are very tall. Sounds strange but all RM bikes come up quite large :)

I like the Hiplok type of lock but I have the Litelok D lock for my bike. It does the same thing as the Hiplok but it has a more suitable design for locking my bike. Angle grinder resistant and big enough to be useful.

@badabing88842 ай бұрын
Ultimately, you want locks to slow down a thief and hope they don't have an angle grinder. The Hiplok D1000 is the most durable but too heavy to carry around with you. Where you lock it up is also important. Ideally to a Sheffield style bike stand which is cemented right into the ground, lock the back wheel, frame, and front wheel. Have GPS tracker (connect module), register your bike with bike register and insure it.
@mystscot98142 ай бұрын
Great video, and very informative. If you purchase insurance, make sure you have read all of the terms and conditions before you sign up. For example, several insurers insist that you have two locks on your bike/e-bike making sure they are gold or diamond rated as stated in the video.
