Amazing that Des can play the complex drum patterns in this personal top 3 classic song AND sing perfectly at the same time- that takes serious ability. I also noticed that the rest of the band are spot on with their instruments making a perfect meaningful pop/rock song have just as much power live! Super talented band that should have had a few more #1 hits!!

Drummer is the only real singer in the band, despite two fake microphones up front. Most of the talent in this band was behind the drum kit. Dez should have been a SOLO artist. And where was the ORCHESTRA on Lido Shuffle? No time to rehearse?

Dez had an amazing range and a powerful pop voice. And yes, drums and bass are the hardest instruments to play and sing at the same time, with the exception of saxophone, trumpet, trombone...

We called the stack-heels 'rockstars' at the time and Jigsaw was from Oshawa, Ontario. 'Sky High' ruled the airwaves in Canada when it was originally released. Nice touch adding Lido Shuffle to the show in 1980, by that time the band had a greater appeal in Europe. Good for them.

@@Rudy_Nuff According to the Wiki people you are likely correct. It is possible Jigsaw had a Canadian musician in the band at the time. Jigsaw was sold to Canadians in the 70s as being from Oshawa, Ontario perhaps to clear the 75% CanCon hurdles of the day.

Not the Drummer but one of this band used to have a band called the steve simonz band they used to play at a Pub in Blackpool called the Manchester in the 1980s Were any of these Steve .

I've always loved "Sky High". Drummers who sing lead have my respect. Both drumming and singing require concentration, stamina and breath control. It's not easy feat to do both at once. Great live performance by the entire band :-)

Bass player has a bad cord, then his amp is too low until they turn it up in the 2nd verse but the drummer carries it all while singing.
