I just HATE what the BLM has done to our wild horses, it's criminal for sure. They so deserve to be free and roam as always. Horses are NOT meant to be kept on a sandlot. There is enough acreage for them.

These are invasive animals that destroy land and breed like crazy and I wonder what they're going to do when that foil grows up and starts acting like a stallion. Are they going to geld him or just let him torture his father and inbreed with his mouth or is gelding him make him look to much like a pet because that's what they are now there her pets not wild animals

It’s a problem that’s more complicated than this documentary observes. Mustangs need a lot and let me say there’s a lot of land. Not all the open spaces are viable for horses to survive. And being that were such a populated country, those open spaces are needed for livestock. The Mustangs were not here originally, nor were cows or sheep. There were wild, antelope, here, deer, elk, and bighorn, sheep, or mountain sheep, whatever you wanna call them. A lot of times ranchers consider wild Mustangs, an invasive species, therefore they justify the slaughter. Growing up on a horse ranch, we rescued hundreds of wild Mustangs. I rode a wild Mustang for my entire life, and I love this breed of horse. They’re the best horses you can ever have. I hardly advise anybody who’s looking for a horse to train up, to go to these auctions and get them a Mustang if they can. They do take time to train. I don’t recommend breaking them, but training them is the best and you will not be disappointed.

This is so horrible and so inhumane I don't know how things like this can be legal how different countries around our planet are allowed to capture put into zoos for our own amusement enslave elephants abandoned animals to die and there's no price to pay for that thank God for sanctuaries and Rescue organizations zoos are allowed to abandon animals during storms or if a zoo gets shut down leave them in their cages to die with no consequences at all it's sickening

We owe so much to wild horses. It's been a way of life before cars..it's our turn to support and protect them..I love that fact that this story had a beautiful ending..although I know so many do not...thank you for your commitment and compassion for these beautiful and wonderful animals.

Maintain the population at 40K or they die from lack of resources in their habitat. Primarily Nevada. Gelding is cruel.

Beautiful story. To geld a horse of his age is painful for the horse, cruel and dangerous. I understand the BLM's roundups and the need to diminish some of these herds but these more often than not result in separation. The author of this video did an admirable job.

fun fact:Chalicotheres are related to the extinct brontotheres, as well as to modern day horses, rhinoceroses, and tapirs. As the early evolution of perissodactyls is still unresolved, their closest relatives among other perissodactyl groups is obscure.
