for the power supply issue, you can use a simple breadboard where you connect arduino 5V, 3.3V and gnd to bread Board , and then you can use the connections for your sensor and wifi module. You can also make voltage divider by 2 resistors(1K and 2K) . connect 1k resistor to 5v and 2k to gnd in series connection and you can find 3.3v at the common point of 1k & 2k resistors. as arduino uno has several 5v supply( in the power pins , 2 set(6 pins) of ICSP pins ) , you can also use any external power supply ( don't forget to make gnd as common connection) . and for your project you can follow this hackster's blog .
