I can't believe the wealth of talent they had when MARCUS FRICKIN' ALLEN is relegated to the bench because he's sub-par compared to their other running back. Wow. It would be like "I'm sorry, Mr. Sanders, but you're only #3 on the depth chart behind Mr. Brown and Mr. Payton....."

@@Bigfishfun333 to be fair Allen wasn't on the bench or blocking for Bo Jackson because Bo was better. That was strictly a personal dispute with Al Davis and Marcus Allen. Perhaps the same outcome would have played out but it was already decided. Which is a shame but at the same time it was Al's team. Personally I wasn't the biggest Bo fan of course I loved the potential the size and speed. But I think people forgot how great Marcus was. He even had good years with the Chiefs.

Best RB of all time is Jim Brown hands down. The guy played in an era where ALL teams did was run, and defenses stacked the box all game long. He ran for 1527yards in TWELVE GAMES!...And then 1863yards in FOURTEEN GAMES! If not for his era having much fewer games per season, he would have single season records well over 2000 yards...more like 2100+. Barry Sanders in my clear cut #2...And had Adrian Peterson not sustained absolutely horrific injuries, he'd probably be at #3 all time.

Walter Peyton is #1. Barry Sanders has fewer post-season Rushing TDs than Peyton Manning. There's no way he's #1. If you're going to knock Emmitt Smith down because he of the talent around him, then you have to do the same to Jim Brown.

Nice list. It's too early for McCaffrey or Henry to be on this list. Your top five got number one right in Barry Sanders. Well thought out comment. But have you ever taken Jim Brown's stats, extrapolated his stats to 16 game seasons, then consider that he retired at 29 at his productive best. Add Leroy Kelly's next three years onto it. His salary was $60,000, man. Go ahead, get your calculator, and take a look.
@cowboysvstheworld387919 күн бұрын
@@JL-ec1by I respect your take on Jim Brown and will not disrespect him in anyway shape or form. I will say this tho he retired at 29 so we will never know what 30 or beyond held for him. He could have suffered a career altering injury or hit a physical wall and not produced at the same clip in his 30's as he did in his 20s. We cannot deny what Emmett did in his mid 30s because he did infact do it! Also we can not ignore the caliber of football that was being played and the caliber of competition that Emmitt was facing in the 90s and 00s compared to that of what Brown was up against in the 50s. I do not mean that disrespectfully, but there is no denying the players and the game evolved in those 40+ years that separate these two great running backs.

All of you keep saying Jim Brown is no. 1 not Barry can eat dirt........I know how great Jim Brown was and u know he was super dominant, but he also played on decent teams. Barry did what he did playing for Detroit. He had 2000 yards most every season , but only one got documented. People who seen him play know what im talking about. Most of his offensive lines was so crap sometimes hed have to go 10 yards east and west just to get 4 yards north. He was 5'8 , 208 , rarely had a lead blocker , and many of the offensive sets they used had 3 ir 4 wr , which many couldnt block all that well. Never had a subperb QB so defenses focused in on him. Boy y'all need to spend a day watching barry. And lets not forget Jim Brown was just as big or far bigger than the men trying to stop him , definitely LBs and DBs.
