I know of a good product for polishing. This product uses the blue compound and silicone and is called Blue Magic. I even use this to polish plastics. It's gentle non abrasive and magically polishes to a finish. The silicone insulates the metal from oxidation. I noticed Mother's is popular, but I like Blue Magic. The best is buffing wheels using the black to white compound sticks.
