Pls if u solve and u get a negative answer let say u get By to be -23 in a next equation like Ay+By=0 do u need to replace By by -23 or just 23

Hello my good friend. If you solve for reaction and get negative then it means the direction you choose is the opposite of the actual direction. Change the direction in the opposite sense and then make it positive.
