@@greggjl1969 You are very welcome Gregg. I was told that I never mentioned, pepper spray, stun gun, mace, guns, etc. I want to clarify that all these responses are valid and should be absolutely used. My focus is how to recognize your options AFTER YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN GRABBED. So I don't discourage any strategies that come first to mind.

I think that it’s very important to understand the different axees and their relationships to their respective pivot points for a better grasp of the concept of “leverage” in the wider context of martial arts. Thanks for the reminder! 😊. Wow! Just realize how wordy that was! Thanks Bro!

A lot of people make fun of or don’t consider Kata (or the concept of Kata) necessary because according to them, you can’t use it in a real fight. This shows a misunderstanding of the goal of Kata, which is to train muscle memory so that in a “real” fight the person can them draw from wealth of moves (without having to even think about it). To me, that’s the great benefit and superpower of Kata, so when you’re in a fight you can just “instinctively” come up with great moves, including the final landing blow. Thanks Sensei! Another great lesson. 😊
