Keep in mind ladies and gentlemen that while they're highly advanced these squids were a peaceful species so their weaponry wasn't top notch, but when we rejected their peace and instead nearly caused extinction... They now have a reason for weaponry and have had plenty of time to prepare...

I don’t think that ambience is about horror, it more like sorrow, sadness from 1st galactic war, when illuminates were almost exterminated. then sorrow slowly turns into a rage, wanting a revenge for them who died for nothing. and thoose silent moments when there’s no answer to their calls, like they’re alone, without past. quite sad, huh?

Lets put something into perspective here The Termanids are the easiest faction per unit to fight against, a bug is easier to kill then a bot, and a bot is easier to kill then a squid Looking at the mission types, the "Elimination" mission involves fighting elite units of each faction The first one you get is at difficulty 3, where you are tasked to kill 2 Chargers for the bugs, and 2 Hulks for the bots But for the Illuminate, at the same difficulty, for that mission you fight 2 Harvesters (the tripods) What they are trying to tell you is that the Charger, Hulk, and Harvester fit within the same rank for each respective army We do NOT know what the equal for the Bile Titan or Factory Strider is for the Illuminate, but its definitely not the Harvesters AND EVEN THEN THEY STILL GET THEIR OWN THEME This video titles it the "boss fight" theme, its not a boss fight, its a regular unit Whatever is coming is going to be bigger, and i doubt anyone is prepared for it

Most fun i've had in the game in ages. I've always enjoyed ball bustingly difficult factions in games that have them, they remind me of warframes sentient. Nothing more fun than feeling like you're nothing more than an ant in someones kitchen, and they found you.

The mechs where the only effective weapon I had since the weapons I deployed with where essentially tickling them, and I was shaking the whole time, which I don't usually feel unless I'm playing fortnite solo

Honestly, only thought of this now, there’s room on the board for one more faction, and it could be scariers than bots, bugs, or squids. Humans. The fear that could be instilled from a traitor faction, or a different human faction who broke away far before super earth was made. Same armory, same brain, bigger numbers. The only thing that could truly scare a helldiver more than a Cthulhu alien, is a helldiver that doesn’t stand by your side.

When this leak came out it was all in numbered chunks of music so the only thing to go off of is sound and other parts of the game (bile titan theme is a slight but distinct variation of the regular termanid theme so assume the same for the squids) Also it’s probably a bug or just a design decision but I have seen multiple tripods spawn in at different times/ Afro ad different times and only heard the BWOOOOOMMM once or not at all

@@streamerman2905 once would make sense, about it not playing at all if you see one, the naturally spawning ones only play if they spot you and engage in combat with you, but i could be wrong.

i mean, the bugs are just animals, and the automatons are, well automatons that are designed just with the objective to kill us, but the illuminate is diffirent. Its an organised, long-lived society which has a long history with super earth, knows their tactics and probably has been observing us all the time. its a genuine danger.
