So you leave the jib flying when you deploy the spinnaker? I tried a Quest today with the asymmetrical with gusty 15 knots. I’m quite familiar with the boat, but not with the kite. We got some capsize recovery practice!

What a splendid video of two chaps sailing an excellent boat in a top class way. I have my eye on a Quest and this really adds to the appeal. Thank you. Paul (UK)

The Quest is a good boat. We have 7 and teach a lot of kids how to sail on them. After a few years sailing them, I’d say it is a well thought out boat that has a lot of nice details. It holds up well and is fun when pushed. I have a few things I want to change, though. The halyards are thin line and are cleated in jam cleats. Because the same bit of line is cleated every time, it wears a keeps popping out. I’d prefer regular horn cleats. The tiller is difficult to lock in after lowering the rudder. Sometimes we need to have the crew push the rudder down to get the tiller to lock. The outhaul is rigged and cleated at the end of the boom, which makes it hard to adjust while underway. A longer line cleated mid boom might be better. All that said, it’s a good, durable boat that can really move. I recommend it.
