Did they actually volunteer to fight, to it was compulsory?

Volunteered. It was good money and they were able to obtain high esteem, respect and admiration whilst travelling the world and being a member of a vast international network of military personnel. Pair this with the fact that fighting against tyranny on the battlefield is a pillar of their faith, it was a no brainer for them. These were early descendants of sword fighting warriors, I suspect they were envious of their forefathers until the war broke out and the chance to enlist manifested itself

The Sikhs/Khalsa conquered/captured Delhi 18 times during the Mughal rule. He sat/occupied the throne even for a day, but relinquished it.

I heard this song 6 or 7 years ago when l had a hard time, it comforted me so much but l didn't save it. And now l am going through some stressful moment and wanted to find this song, l searched for a week still couldn't find it. Last night, l prayed to the universe and universe replied me, l finally searched this song from the Google search. My tears couldn't stop running from my eyes. So thankful!

I've been listening to this for over 10 years now. Back in 2012 I was looking for meditative tracks to let me concentrate better during my 12th board exams. It worked so well, I then started listening to it while I meditated. Every time I listen to it, it just calms me down. ❤

It is sad how 38 years on and we've let religion become a weapon for politicians. We've let these maggots play with our emotions, beliefs and identity. They've mocked it, they've exploited it and they've disrespected it. Imagine an India powered by all the religious and other identities, diverse tastes, identities and thinking - could've shown the west how democracies actually work like.

difference between japnese and sikh soldiers during world wars. Japnese fought for honour ..considered their war holy war 2.Fought bravely and when lost their ammunition, they drew their swords fought till the end for their living God Emperor Hirohita 3. After defeating the enemy they mercilessly buthured innocent civilians...raped women and little children ...used to fight samurai competitions about who cuts more heads of enemy prisoners...showed no mercy towards any person. Sikhs being a warrior race fought very much like same belief ...in the name of honour and god....but when the enemy got defeated ...they forgot fight and violence...used to respect prisoners...gave them food....considered women like their sisters and mothers...thats why our 10 gurus...first 5 were considered saints...and other 5 are revered as saint soldiers....when it comes to war and injustice wear weapons...but when it comes to peace times...spread love and compassion for others

It's a story of cowards who fled Pakistan in 1947. It's a story of slavery because Queen Victoria gave hostage to Magaraja Duleep Singh and his mother. Where are sikh notorious organizations like Babbar Khalasa when Sikhs are being persecuted in Afghanistan and Pakistan ? Real Sikhs are like Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri, Capt. Bana singh, KPS Gill. Just Khalasa panth is not Sikhs. Ramraiyya, Nanakpanthi, Nirankaries, Sahajdhari are more Sikhs than Khalasa Panthi.

If History lessons at school and memorial days in the UK has not wiped out the Skih and other Indian religious contributions to the war, I'm sure England would been less racist than it is now. Schools and Govt must fix the truth about who won the war was not just white faces. They had brothers in arms from around the world
