Can you please tell me whether UV resin can be used for this technique? Thank you.

This is how I mix all my mica too… I think it reduces your chances of bubbles, as well as stopping powder spots in your poured pieces. Thank you for sharing your methods with us. I see some artists are now turning their micas into pastes by mixing them with either part A, or part B of leftover resin… I haven’t done any myself yet, but I’m going to give it a try and see how it comes out? Your ‘thinker’ statues are gorgeous… I love that brown sugar pigment!! They look very elegant! I also noticed your hands… is that eczema? My apologies if you think I’m being mosey… I only ask, as I suffer from eczema on my hands, and it makes wearing gloves very hard and painful… I put cotton gloves on underneath sometimes but find that is so bulky!?! Ps… I hope you show us when you do the blue and silver thinkers?!? 😁 Much love from Nat. (Brisbane, Australia) ♥️♥️🇦🇺

Unbelievable… what a brilliant idea this is!! I am astounded at how creative you are! Not only so creative… but so darn generous and giving!! It’s such a shame, for me, that you no longer produce content… but I will definitely be watching more of your videos (and yes, I subscribed anyway! 😂)! These coasters turned out so beautifully… I’ve not attempted the dragon scale effect yet but, after watching this, I think I’ll just have to give it a go! If you ever read this comment, then I hope you are doing well. Much love from Nat. (Brisbane, Australia) ♥️♥️🇦🇺

They are really pretty Sue… I love the colours! And the (hilarious) cheat waves look really good. I’ve just finished doing a 40cm round beach in pinks; it is on an MDF board so, obviously, it’s not translucent, but it looks pretty good… I hand coloured some shells to match and, as you said you usually do, I created the waves with my heat gun and gas torch. I want to do a sunset one with oranges, pinks and purple… you could try these colours… I’d love to see!?! Much love from Nat. (Brisbane, Australia) ♥️♥️🇦🇺

OMG… I did get into a fit of giggles watching you fight with those waves! It started when you giggled at yourself when you couldn’t get the first wave off… and it just went from there! I don’t know what tickled me so much but I laughed until I had tears! I just about got control of myself… when you said “this was supposed to be a cheat, not a nightmare”… and off I went again! My dog thought I was bloody daft!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 Now I’m off to watch the rest of the video! Much love from Nat. (Brisbane, Australia) ♥️♥️🇦🇺

Thank you for this simple, easy to follow tutorial!! They both turned out very beautiful. I just found your channel thru Coral’s channel (Coral Marine)… she had you listed in her description. And now, thanks to Coral, you have a new subscriber! It’s a great idea to help promote other artists… and think more artists should do it. Much love from Nat. (Brisbane, Australia) ♥️♥️🇦🇺

I have done a similar process before and almost the same effect as well. I put mostly clear in the mold, then I poured golden green mica around the edge, then I puddle poured golden blue mica, then pearl white mica, then clear. The result was a thin golden green border that didn't crack, then the blue took over the rest but a clear center. The blue goes from big crackles around the outer edge to smaller ones around the center. I did this in a round 7" mold and I'm adding a wedding photo to it with a wild flower U shape around that. I also put the name at the top in Let's Resin gold paint pen and the date at the bottom with the same gold paint pen. I used my Cricut to make the stencils for that using clear sticker paper and I used white backed water slick paper to do the photo and wild flowers. I will dome over all of that and I will add saw tooth wall hangers on the back. I love this tutorial! I'm going to do this as the bottom layer of a crystal coaster. I already poured the crystal raised edge. This should look awesome! I'm thinking of using peacock colors. Oh, I'm also a lefty.

These are gorgeous, just got this mould and found you while looking for them on your tube. Can I ask why you used different amounts of A & B for the 1 to 1 resin ?
@Dragon-Creations
@Dragon-Creations 5 ай бұрын
The reason it’s not exactly one to one is that they have different weights to mass so you can use more A to B hope that helps 😀🐉

I don’t mind seeing all the scraping and what not. I show it to make sure that people know and understand that it’s important to get all the resin out of the cup when making your resin pieces. Also, I post a separate video with the unmolding as sometimes I don’t have time posting them together. So I like having them separate just fine. This is your channel, and you can do whatever you want on it. I like it either way! I love the video as it is. Thank you for the walkthrough. You’ve inspired me to try this tomorrow!

Hi ,so what colour creates the veins/ crackles? Interested to know for my colour matching . Is it the tint or mica ? Thank you 😊
@Dragon-Creations
@Dragon-Creations 8 ай бұрын
Hello it’s the mica that creates the dragon scales best to use two contrasting colours, you can create the effect with the same colour l find if you are doing it with one colour it is best to split the pour the normal way (as if it’s two contrasting) that way you can still get scales it takes practice to get the effect you want. Hope that helps you 😀🐉

Thank you. I just came across your channel and I’m going through the videos! Question: why the translucent color around the edge? I guess it acts as clear with a little color, but why not use it throughout? Or at all? Why this color and clear? I’m sorry, I’m new to this and I’m trying to understand what goes on and why. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and experiments.

Lovely! Thank you. I see a little area in the middle where there isn’t much going on. I watch ‘pouring your heart out’ and I was wondering if you try the suctioning method she uses with a syringe in the middle if that would affect the dragon scale effect in any way. Maybe you could try it as an experiment. I’ll be watching. Thanks again

Those powders are beautiful! I’m making 4 Dragon notebook covers for our grandkids and after watching your video, I ordered a ridiculous amount of nail powders.😆 My mold design is different than yours but, I think the size is the same. You did an amazing job on all of yours! I decided adding a snap closure would be a nice finishing touch. I found a leather set of 6 all in different colors. Luckily 4 of them will match my color choices. They’re meant to be sewn on fabric but, they’ll work for this too. Thanks for inspiring me with your wonderful creations!
