@cookedflores9444 Not always. Depends on the game, character. Not every single new fighter needs to be 0-death combos, memorizing easy input combos for auto piloting, and just constantly mashing buttons without any fear of solid defensive options

I am very pissed. I avoided spoilers for ff16 for 1+ years. After it came to PC, was waiting for a sale (I don't shit money). My friends said the stage and moves are spoilers. Bought the game. Started playing it. 4 hours in. Put 2 and 2 togheter. Now I see were the plot is going cuz of Tekken 8 Clive trailer. Damn you Tekken. Also magic and sword user for Tekken. Wtf

We’ll never pleased everyone, the devs had their own ideas. Tifa’s case is similar to Megaman X. He was claymored for Ultimate MvsC 3 but wasn’t in and a popular choice on the capcom’s side. Tifa at this age has her own haters sadly (mostly unjustified but both have freaks on their sides) why half of the devs maybe sheltered her under someone’s decision and Harada.

The creators of takken has never given the fans a character that the people wanted the most. So why would they start now? FF6 had already finished making their game. they started making a Collab with tekken 8 before it was finished

If they want Tifa in Tekken 8, it's not going to happen anytime soon in the future. I suggest they wait for Part 3 of Rebirth to come out to see more of her and STOP WHINING. Square Enix obviously doesn't want Tifa in Tekken 8 and it's easy to see why. I mean I'm happy that Sephiroth got in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but you don't see me whining about wanting him in EVERY SINGLE GAME after that, especially Tekken 8. I'm quite happy with him being in my favorite Smash Bros. game since childhood and playing with him is a blast for me.

We also have to consider that its not up to the Tekken devs to add tifa it's square enix. if they are gate keeping tifa then there's nothing they can do. We can't just ask for something out of there control and think they will accept it. Licencing issues are still a thing you know.

All the people complaining about tifa. If you buy and play Clive then they will give you tifa when the last game of the trilogy comes out. Need to show them that tekken is good advertising and people actually want their characters via money.

Tekken 7 has a lot of DLCs so it’s not the end of the world wimps. If Harada gave us like 8 DLCs instead of 4 then that’ll make at least us happier fans though I doubt that’s gonna happen.

I wanted Tifa for the sole reason that FF7 and Tekken 2-3 were some of THE killer apps for PS1. I fondly remember that time and I was hoping with Rebirth being released it would be close enough. Oh well. Haven't checked into FF since 12, everything 11 and up isn't really my vibe. Guy looks hot, but this just looks foreign to me in every way. Not buying, hope the people enjoy him though.

It's not that there aren't better guest characters than Tifa. It's that there's no better FF representative than her. If they went with any other franchise for a DLC character, no one would be upset. It's like getting people hyped for another Street Fighter guest character and of all the potential iconic, game/dlc selling options, they deliver Lily or Dhalsim... Like what if they teased a Yakuza guest then delivered Tanimura? I'm pretty sure people would be dissapointed in the same way.

FF16 didn't exactly win-over the JRPG genre. He should've been saved for a SC7 if Soul Project ever decides to make another one. Tekken should've used a modernish FF character, ideally the ones that are currently promonent i.e. FF7 characters. Obviously Tifa would be the logical choice for most people. Modern, a fist fighter, some ...modest appeal (or is that exclusive only to Nina?) Heck, she's already been in a 3D fighting game, sooo.... Enough of sword fighters at any rate!

There's been few sword fighters at Tekken other than Yoshimitsu and Victor. It doesn't make it better if it's just gonna be a martial arts type of game. You got to mix it up.

I watched Phidx's summary of why Clive is here. Turns out they've been planning this for the last like 2 years before Tekken 8 even got revealed and I think before FF16 even started being made, so I respect Clive a lot more now. (edit: sry if you mentioned this in the vid I'm one of those viewers who gets this in my recommended and then immediately comments without watching for shits and giggles, but if you didn't know, enjoy the fun fact)

All I know is a pic was recently tweeted of Hirada, Yoshida, Sakurai, and Nomura dining at a classy restaurant . So it should be interesting to see what the other gentlemen are planning going forward. I'm thinking other FF, Tekken, or KH character in Smash, an XIV x Kingdom Hearts quest event, or all of the above. An XIV x Tekken event I don't see happening, it'd just be bizarre (as if the Neir raids weren't bonkers enough lol.)

@@DonShotta24 I did read up on him, but none of the details about him really change what I said in the video here. To people who don’t know who he is (which seems to be quite a lot of people), the transformation still looks like the devil gene (and Bandai Namco likely thought the same putting him next to Jin), and this is still the second time we’ve seen a Final Fantasy guest in Tekken where it wasn’t one of the franchise’s biggest and most recognizable faces (I.e. Tifa).
