lol as if women don't do the same thing. You look like you are about a 6 or 7, so make a profile for what you consider a 6 or 7 as a male and see how well "the patriarchy" works out for you.

Perhaps respond with “What do you mean by that?” instead? I find that forces them to either present a perspective I wasn’t aware of and was actually misunderstanding them (so avoids unnecessary conflict) or to double down on their racism/rudeness/etc but eventually they would have to say the quiet part out loud in front of everyone or to back down and apologise.

With so much crime against women in streets and workplace, rising unemployment, inflation skyrocketing, unaffordable healthcare, housing crisis and countless other problems, it is impossible to get detached from parents even for boys , let alone the girls thinking of doing the same.

We are good at white washing. We have been forced to make things new and exciting or we don’t stand out. Even in coaching we are taught to do this. Were we ever original to anything?

Yoga's globalization is just a white washed methods to wipe out the roots and culture of Yoga. We don't know it anymore. Because these whites who claim to be conscious with their outfits, and fitness is for fake people who use it to hide their egos, which contradicts Yoga's values

There are in fact people who are raised in cultures where it is not encourage to pry into a stranger’s personal life. Perhaps we should all accept that reality of sharing a diverse planet instead of expecting things to accommodate our preferences.

people can't handle it... My real personality is like Jim Carrey at his peak but I've got to go to corporate meetings and people really want women to be very simple and pleasant. so instead, I come off extremely uptight and stoic because that's how I feel like the world pressures me to act. I am REALLY out there much more than the average person

The issue is WHY are they not asking questions. Are they shy, disinterested, whatever. But have you asked the men any questions? If he is just talking about himself, then try to take a lead from one of his statements to talk about your topics. If he isn't interested in listening (and responding) then put it down to a bad experience and move on. But you have to remember that many men feel that they have to prove themselves to women and this might be his attempt to do so. Personally, as a bloke, I think that not asking questions of anyone is missing an opportunity, but there may be reasons.

I'm from the middle east and I never felt any racism in USA...just the opposite the whiter the people the more loving and interested in me and my culture. Sorry you had that experience but not all of us did. GOD BLESS AMERICA the land of the FREE and BRAVE.

oh you poor sweet summer child...don't worry youll learn :) ppl from the motherland who didnt grow up around racism always take a long time to see it. just you wait lol. my mother took 65 years to realize "oh, ive been enduring racism for decades." i was like duh, i've seen it since i was a child. my advice to you, since i am someone who was born and raised around white ppl in the usa, and i am a native speaker of the language of white america, try not to gaslight those of us who speak of our experiences. those white ppl will NEVER pick you. you think those ppl are "loving" and "interested" in you and your culture, but theyre laughing at you behind your back while pretending to your face. lol wait til you learn about covert racism. when it happens to you, you will feel it and youll come back and delete this comment gaslighting this brown Desi woman who knows more than you.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful message. Admittedly (shamefully) I have found myself secretly resenting others when things are going wrong in my life. Obviously, I would never mistreat another person, but my thoughts have been resentful. This usually happens when I'm under a lot of financial pressure or feeling depressed. We can't let our personal circumstances determine how we think about other people.

I always keep it real, although I have depression and find myself often saying I’m ok or fine when I’m dying inside. Is that inauthentic???? I would just call it a protective mechanism? Plus, no one wants to hang around someone sad
