If Legends ZA doesn’t involve AZ, there’s no point to it. My hopes are extremely high that his Floette is a regional variant

Could be he settled down, (finally) passed on amd had a kid. Legends Arceus had ancestors to a lot of characters and ZA might have descendants of characters. And I like the idea of it being a regional variant!

I think what ultimately lead generation 6 down is that it had no closure whatsoever and that left the humidity in disarray ever since. Also, imo, I never liked plasma because it's so obvious that their only feigning to be Pokemon PETA because they literally steal people's pokemon, foursome the battle and near the end of the game force all the solar Pokemon to do slave labor to build a stupid Castle

Wooo fellow dutchy!! We started around the same time! I started in 2021 at 27, your improvement is going smooth! You can do this!! Keep going! I can definitely relate to wanting to start earlier, there's so many younger people much better than me and it feels discouraging, but we have an adventage! We know HOW to learn better AND faster! Sure kids and teens draw a lot, but most don't know HOW to improve due to lack of wisdom, but WE DO! Subscribed :3

Dang, your lineart is super clean dude!! It'd be really cool to see you attempt different poses for the Pokemon, I bet you'd be surprised with how much you'd improve by the end. You definitely have some experience behind you already tho, I'm jealous of your shading abilities lol. Definitely keep going with this project, it's really cool to see them all come together! :D

Thanks! I started off trying to copy pokemon as exact as possible, but I keep going more and more rogue. The shading in the upcoming one is especially good (started going for more realism). I do indeed suspect that sooner or later I will start to deviate the poses from the official art.

@@KingFroglet I've been there and I'm currently actually hitting a bit of a slump where I feel like I'm barely improving, but consistency is WAY more important than grinding. So if you only do like half an hour a day you'll keep improving. I actually made a video recently where I drew the same OC with the same reference I did last year and while I expected it to be an improvement, I was actually surprised at how much of an improvement it was. And I've made other art since, which is already way better than that one. So even if you don't really notice the improvement on a day to day basis, looking back at your older stuff will show you how far you've come. Thanks for sharing your story. Keep going! As for myself, I started drawing being 40yo, a bit more than 2 years ago. (Progress of my first year, if you are interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKa3m3uAp7B5npo , but note, that some of it is traced...) For the drawing: Don't forget to render the hair. You render the head like a 3d-shape, you should do the same with the hair.

Man this video hit home with me on so many levels. Family and peers not understanding art when I was younger, adhd and too much time on video games, even having a college teacher stop a lesson to tell us that there was just too much competition in the art world and the chances of us making it were almost 0%. I let all of those outside forces get to me and I gave up on my dream for most of my life. I’m 35 now and I have spent most of my life miserable in a dirty factory just to make a paycheck. During all of that time I always thought about art and during the lockdown I bought some supplies and dove back in it. I was terrible but while drawing I felt alive again. I’m sticking with it this time and like you I’ve decided to start a KZbin channel to post and keep track of my progress. I’m subscribing and look forward to seeing your progress as well. Hey man, I'm kind of going through the same thing, I'm a journalist and and I'm currently pivoting into art. The only advice I can give you, and frankly the only one I think you'll need is to just keep going. Be stubborn with your art, if you don't think it looks good, then keep improving it.

Hi! Thanks for watching ☺ and thanks for the advice! Luckily I'm REALLY good at being stubborn. It's what's kept me going since October 2022. I also had a line in this video where I said I expected the result of this speedpaint to also look bad (but at least look better than the 2022 version), but I ended up scrapping that line, because I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out (still far from perfect though, so the grind continues).
