@@fizzledits2433 I wrote an explanation but i don't think it sent so here we go again. Andy Mack is a show about a girl who found out that her 'sister, was actually her mum. She has this friend Cyrus and i won't go into any spoilers but basically he finds out he's gay and goes threw this whole realisation, closet, unrequited love of a straight person and coming out arc and in the end it's implied he ends up with a guy. The show was cut short after season 3 otherwise I'm sure they'd do more theb just imply Cyrus ended up with the guy. The good thing is they didn't shy away from this. They openly spoke about everything. The first time he came out to someone was this huge emotional moment and it was handled with so much love and respect and after that every time he came out to someone ot got easier and easier for him. I think that's pretty realistic. I also like how it wasn't his whole charecter. He had other things going on while this was happning. He didn't get with the guy everyone wanred him to cause he was straight but the guy he did get with was awesome too but that was the end of a long journey which is pretty accurate. The owl house is a cartoon where this girl, Luz runs away to a magical world to study magic when her mum thinks she's at a summer camp. Anyway there's this with there, Amity. At first they don't get along cause Luz is one of those silly energetic charecters while Amity os a perfectionist who's kind of mean to people cause she's abused at home. Anyway eventually they becime friends and Amity starts liking Luz. It isn't like a rival thing tho cause Amitt is actively trying to better herself and work threw her trauma. In season 2 they get together but OFFICIALLY it isn't applied or left for interpretation. And that is honestly amazing. They don't have the kind of arc thar cyrus has cause no one cares thst they're both girls, no one even seems to notice but I think both types of representations were amazinf in their own way for different reasons. Andy mack shows the realistic journey of kids who just found out they're lgbtq while the owl house is refreshing cause it just treats them as any couple just like lgbtq couples should be treated.
