I will tell you why they are blocking messages. Canada changed law or something like a law. For people who live in Croatia and are Croatian citizens can not legally buy property in Canada. Then we banned Canadians as well. I dont know if Croatia is only country in European Union Canada blocked, or maybe few more. But i think they were presured by UK to do that. Not UK as whole, specifically England. Their politicians never liked Croatian people. To this day, they dont like us But i think Brits dont like anyone, they think they are better than any other nation. Like Germany 70 years ago. Its good that English people are week as a nation. Because we have friends around those bastards. Shout out to Ireland and Scotland

"Balkan" mindset is so backwards. "Locals" want to have a relaxed lifestyle and work 50% of the day, sit and enjoy 1 coffee for hours on end... You can do the same thing in Australia, just be broke, have nothing and be happy... Tradesmen (especially those trained in western countries) in Croatia, still get shafted by being promised $x amount for the work, then when the work is done, the owner/builder will re-negotiate the price when the job is done, because "you only did it in 2 hours, when it usually takes 6 hours" because locals are used to the multiple hours of bs and coffee breaks during the working week... Maybe go into realestate, focusing on a international market, with english speaking clients, you might do ok... Other than that... good luck...

They are coming but it dosen't mean they will stay. I've come from Australia and have much experience on mine machinery 10 X the size of what they have in Croatia. Unfortunately the Croatian government doesn't recognise my qualifications from Australia. I'm definitely not going to sweep streets when I have qualifications. Secondly your real estate prices are ridiculous for what you get and the quality of finish. Croatia isn't the promise land. If tourism dosen't work it would collapse in a year. Be more realistic in your opinion. It receives 65 billion in support from the EU every year. If the EU breaks up then a population of less than 3 million wouldn't last long against larger populations.

@@GeneShepherd-k1s hey Gene it sounds like you were debating on moving back, and just because they don’t accept your certification, much like they didn’t mine. I was still able to operate through a limited business without quals. But because of this you seem super negative. I agree the real estate is overinflated but what do you want me to do? Market properties as a job but just say negative stuff about it? Come on, want kind of business would I get? 0️⃣ And yes because of the funding it is growing exponentially, there is no point trying to second guess the fall of the EU, that is out of both of our control but I doubt it’s going to happen.

Justin I owned a 25 acre market garden in Australia with 2 trucks. I'm far from negative mate. I'm realistic. Croatia only pumps money into tourism instead of infrastructure. It's population was 4 million in 2019. It's now under 3 million in 2024. That's factual figures not negativity mate. As of the EU, Turkey Hungary and Austria is almost done. The Chinese have gone to Serbia and Hungary not Croatia Croats receive 65 billion in funding from the EU Because they can't stand on their own. The EU is broke. I'm a 60 year old business operator that looks at facts and figures, not negativity. Croatia dosen't produce enough food to feed itself. I have all the stats that my office workers compiled for me before I came. Time for Croatia to stop spending on tourism and start spending on infrastructure. I have been from Osijek to Varaždin to Zadar to Istria and it's the same. No Infrastructure.

This is just one step in the right direction. The Croatian government does not have any strategy for the return of emigrants and the transfer of their business to Croatia. These are small acts in order to avoid criticism that they are not doing anything regarding the return of emigrants. My 5 cents

@@cosmozh i guess if it was a remote business you wouldn’t necessarily have to transfer it. You would just declare the income in your new tax residency (Croatia ) and then pay no tax on it. @@Dusan.Grujic Halo Dušan I am very interested in the diaspora because I myself live abroad. The diaspora has a huge potential in terms of financial resources, know-how, professional experience, etc. that could serve the development and prosperity of all citizens. Personally, I am in favor of a tax haven with very low taxes, like those in the individual cantons and municipalities in Switzerland. Through this tax policy, financial resources will be accumulated in the tax offices, which will automatically lead to a reduction in the tax burden for the locals. Yes, they block lots of content in Canada like their Chineese buddies. Canada is becoming a 3rd world country. All the immigration they have right now is from India. Until the end of the sixties, they could not cross the border freely. People put their heads in a bag to go out illegally, knowing that they would never return and see their loved ones. Later, when they were given the opportunity to go, it was not emigration, but only people on temporary work in Germany, while their family was all waiting in Yuga for them to return. It was only in the eighties that they started to get married and lead their wives and start families in Germani. I know what I'm talking about, I've lived in that environment.

Sorry to say this is an example of everything that's wrong with Croatian real estate market. No privacy whatsoever, old furniture sold as "vintage", concrete poured in front of the house like an amateur did it. Bathroom tiles - it's really giving it attention it doesn't deserve by commenting. "Storage space" underneath the stairs. The part of the house that's "still in the construction phase". My God, appalling listing. This house is worth as much as anyone if willing to pay for it. It's not worth 200k, its absurd listing it for 600k+ and simple brings more chaos and uncertainty to the real estate market. I've been living in Croatia my entire life. I own real estate. Starigrad Paklenica is a small town which literally sucks. This is absurd, but I'm glad I took a look at this video.
