Had me worried for a bit Paul but no need, you were just waiting for a sunny day ! Wonderful little film as always and especially liked those silhouette shots near Giltar Point and seeing the little doggos living their best lives. Tenby looking really fab and festive. When I (eventually) retire I hope to follow in your footsteps around Pembrokeshire.......thank you for the inspiration. A very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to you and yours.

Crazy to me that this was recorded on an iPhone. I thought this was a demo of a full frame or a camcorder. I'm inspired!. BTW I can walk just minutes to Lock 18 of the Trent Severn Waterway system in Ontario so the subject matter is very interesting.

My iPhone Asan 11and there is a setting to adjust so you can capture in 4k. One drawback is that the the phone only has a X2 optical zoom. it will digitally zoom, but at the cost of picture quality. I had a look at Lock 18 on the Trent Severn and it looks like a good boating area

Hi Paul. Have followed all your much earlier vids and loved every one. I was wondering what happened to you after a long silence and just came across this one under a different name and a different dog (if I am correct). So glad I found it. Paul (Cadiz, Spain)

Many thanks, I am very honoured that you enjoyed my older videos and have found me again here. You are correct about the long silence and the new dogs, but the dog in the older films gave up at the age of 20. Thank you again - Paul 👍🏽🐾🐾

Skrinkle Beach is lovely - gets the morning sun too. There's also Swanlake Beach on the West side of Manorbier - a little more remote and wild. Just be sure the tides are neap (not a very big range, so the sea doesn't come to the top of the beach! This is usually when the high water is closer to 1 o'clock. Theres also a flat area at Manorbier Beach where you can pitch a tent, but there are more passers by there. The sea should still be warm-ish in November too
Cool post Paul, Pembrokeshire is such a beautiful area !

@bob-og1ih7 ай бұрын
@@paulmanorbier The Last time I went to Lindsway the steep track down to it was very overgrown, so hope you can get down to it, was'nt there a story at one time that Royalty once had a picnic on the beach?. Regards Bob
@paulmanorbier7 ай бұрын
Yes, apparently the current King Charles - came into the Haven with Queen Elizabeth 2nd on the Royal Yacht Britannia. Before attending whatever the event was, Prince Charles and Princess Anne were taken ashore at Lindsway to spend some time on the beach, and that would be his first steps on land in Wales, before later becoming the Prince of Wales - so I was told. So if I get down to the beach I'd better take a right royal picnic!

Brilliant video as always. What's the big building on the island? Looks like a warm summers day. The colours on the flowers look stunning. Nice picnic. Curly Wurly crazy funny name.😂 we don’t even think about it. Nice snacks, not sure if the little drink was a whisky or something like that. You look about 8ft tall walking through the low doors at the end. What was that building? Sorry for questions. 🤦🏻😁👋
@paulmanorbier8 ай бұрын
The big building on the Island is Thorn Island Fort - built in the 1850s to protect Milford Haven Waterway from the French Navy. My mate in the video used to work there when he was a youngster and it was a hotel. I think now its someones home. That little bottle is Barti Ddu Pembrokeshire rum, but not shown off very well as I was more interested in all the other treats! And then that tower we went up is the Pele Tower from the 14th Century. I've been walking in that neck of the woods for decades, but I'd never seen it open to the public before, so it was a good bonus to this walk. Thanks again 🙂🐾🐾
