This film was originally a flop as it mocked its fanbase, who were all union supporters. Its only on in recent years the film has found a new audiience.

the sad thing, that you couldnt get away with this, in this day and age, journalist, a nobody.. posted recently, how awful it was and whomever liked it were misfits blah blah, leftist journalistic rubbish.. on screen it was funny as heck, i loved these as a kid and still do.

We need a new series of carry ons with a cast of young comedians. Carry on up the death star could be a parody of Star Wars with a campy darth vader chanelling charles hawtry, and carry on trekking could have a randy starfleet captain played by a sid james type

Spare a thought for imogen hassal she was a comedy actress that found fame then she took her own life at the young age of 38. She was in the early bird the saint the persuaders and of course carry on loving. R.i.p. imogen you will never be forgotten.

Hi Ken, I don't know if it's ever been picked up on but (I believe) there's a subtle nod to the 1934 Scarlet Pimpernel movie that goes by un-noticed in DLYH, in the 1934 movie there's a scene where an accomplice of the SP visits a jail disguised as a priest to tip a family off about their rescue, as the priest enters the jail some children are playing and you can clearly hear that the childrens laughter is looped repeating itself 3 times, if you listen closely in DLYH when Bidet calls for the Duc de Pommfrit you'll hear his call is looped 3 times also, I know audio comping like this (inserts, loops etc.) has always been there in film production but it just seems like there was a deliberacy in this particular instance, I'd be interested if you or anyone can verify?

Some of the audio edits in Carry On are awful. The one thats sticks out in my mind is the spanking scene in 'Convenience' when Ken Cope's Mum has him over her knee.

Jaz was/is poor... i saw him at event mid 2000s and he was terrible, looking like him isnt enough.... As fof Peter Rogers, how rude! I heard a similar thing said to a Kenneth Williams Impersonator. As for Dave Benson he is ok, but Robin Sebastian who played Kenny in the remakes of Hancocks Half Hour is dreadful.
