I honestly don't have a clue. I am a rather new fan but have bought several albums and been listening to quite much online. It seems like many fans just dig the early classics then sort of lost interest at some point and just ignored the huge catalog that followed. While I can't defend all songs or all albums there are definitely things worth to check out all over the place. The latest album "Living the Dream" is much better than bands at their age should make. The song "Grazed by Heaven" is a modern classic for me. This album, Sea of Light, is a gem too!

@@scitsalcoryp I have a rather young coworker listening to basically only hiphop/rap. He went to a concert by a unknown (to me) british rapper. He expected like "gangstas" to be there. Instead it was kids basically singing along and waving to drugrelated statements. My coworker got let down and only because the rapper seem to have a different fanbase than he expected he might lose interest in the rapper and he said going to shows wasn't his thing. I can't say I had any kid of similar experience whatever I have gone to. I am not that old so when going to classic rock bands I am often among the younger in the audience. I don't mind any fan as long as they having a good time and not destroying the experince for anyone. Is it cool to stand with 60 year olds at a show? Perhaps not but goosebumps, memories for life and good music makes up for it!

There is no explanation. Sure UH was at the top in 72/73, but they made fantastic albums besides Demons and Magician. Sea of Light, Abominog, Sonic Origami, just to name a few...

I'm 62. I really like this music, especially #2 "Shake Me". Yes, the album cover is gay as hell, but no worse than the Stones' "Sticky Fingers" or some of David Bowie's Glam Rock covers. And don't forget the Queen of Gay, Freddie Mercury. I owned albums by them BECAUSE THEY ROCKED! And the album art scared the Hell out of my parents...

I always liked "Hell on Wheels" but why is it so underproduced? Its mix is so thin compared to the rest of the album. I'd love to hear it remastered.
