Idk what I expected when I clicked on this video but I definitely didn't expect it to elicit so many emotions. These guys are all around my age, still hanging out and living life together after all these years, they look so genuinely happy. Meanwhile my friends from high school and college naturally grew apart as people moved, got married, etc. and now although I have a fantastic job in terms of financial security (control systems engineer), it's nowhere near as fulfilling as this appears to be. Relationships are the most crucial aspect of a happy life (backed up by multiple multi-decade experiments) so these guys are really living their best life. Can't say I wouldn't want to join them.

Awesome documentary! Such a great story these guys have, all being friends from an early age and growing up and BBQ'n together. As an avid lover of the BBQ, this was a treat to watch. I wish them all the success in the world!

In September 2022 hurricane Ian hit my town (Fort Myers, FL) and we evacuated to my aunts house a cpl hrs away. While we were there me n my Dad came across this documentary and we both really loved the story. My dad loves good bbq restaurants and has traveled to a lot of different ones all over our state . The next month October 2022 while our town was rebuilding, i got a new job with a $3000 sign-on bonus. I told my mom for Xmas, as one of my dads gifts, I'm using that bonus money to fly me n my dad to Goldees bbq in March for his birthday. One month later on Nov 22, 2022 my father died unexpectedly. It crushed me. But I still took the trip in March 2023 to honor his memory n celebrate his birthday. I brought one of my best friends who my dad really liked in his place. We got there at 6am and we were number 9 n 10 in line. Best bbq I've ever had! It's painful to watch this video but it also reminds me of my friend who got to experience waiting in the cold for 5 hours for BBQ with me lol. This year, on the same day from last year, me and that same friend went to one of our local barbecue restaurants we like here and had lunch in his memory and in memory of the trip we took. I love n miss you Dad and I'm sorry you didn't get to experience the #1 BBQ in Texas. Thank you Goldees and Alvin for making this unforgettable documentary ❤️🙏🏻

HERE'S THE THING ....🤨 And why you are a total moron for waiting inline for hours for these places on a list. They do a phony list every year - those places are still there ya' know ha. (eg. Goldees will still be good a few years from now - but will be on no lists. The Hickory Stick and Off the Bone are minutes away and just as good - both were once on a list ......

All that effort and love for the food, and then you eat out of plastic and paper. The stupidity of American people is unbeatable.
@BerryFin23 күн бұрын
You really find by far the dumbest reasons to hate on Americans. Do they look like a five star restaurant with many employees?
@MyEmpire9121 күн бұрын
What has the use of plastic and paper to do with five stars and number of employees? You need five stars to serve your food adequately? Youre probably American, so not surprising you do not understand it
@BerryFin21 күн бұрын
@@MyEmpire91 Because it's going to add more hours and more problems for them to deal with. Can't you see they are already using all the time they get....? Can you see how many customers they get and the added hours of cleaning everything....? There are a couple downsides to using plastic and paper but that's it.
