Delighted (!!!) to have discovered your channel with this gently infectious push to further investigate owning an X100F. And that comment is from someone used to carrying about a full DSLR compliment and the obligatory film SLR as well - sometimes two different system and all the slog-factor that implies. I'd never have thought of 35mm (equivalent) as an ideal lens for portraiture or necessarily ideal for capturing expansive landscapes, but your work certainly gives pause to consider the equation of form factor/elegance+film simulations+new eye on motifs. Now, off to the auction site ;-) I've - no surprise - subscribed to your channel and will look forward to future insights!
@boomshiddangАй бұрын
Haha, I can definitely relate to the slog factor, Steve! Hope you have fun capturing shots - even landscapes! - on your X100F when you get it!

Thanks man! Sorry to hear about your 05 :( Do you recall how many miles it lasted til? I'm going on 330K+ now and have had to do quite a bit of work but it's been solid as a rock the past year or so.

Mine had around 280km. I bought it used and didn’t understand how much rust damage there at the time of purchase. The engine was fine but other things were breaking down. I love this generation of Sequoias. I hope you can enjoy yours for years to come.

@boomshiddang3 ай бұрын
Thanks Julien! Great point - I totally forgot to mention this in the video! Jackery says it takes 24 hours for it to fully charge via solar, but my own experience is that on a nice sunny day with the panel out all day, I can get back about 10% of the battery. So, very slow basically!

Incredibly glad this video landed on my feed I was looking into Finding a good digital camera with that film vibe that the Fuji has, because getting film developed nowadays in my location is really painstakingly irritating and I’m very glad I found your video this camera is amazing and I love the fact it has that slik old look but it’s DIGITAL! and I must say your video shooting style and editing style are incredibly immersive and make the video a super enjoyable watch, super underrated creator keep it up ! Follow up question if you would be ever so kind to answer, what’s the best way to purchase this camera ? Used from a seller or does Fuji still produce these cameras and sell them online

@@SomethingisAlwaysMissing hey bud! The only way at this point is to grab it used. Three places I can recommend: MPB.com, good ole eBay and check your local Craigslist as well. Good luck as I think even the F is getting hard to find nowadays too!

@@boomshiddang Hi - would you please give me some advice if it's not too much trouble? I was wondering which option would be better: I'm very interested in getting a used X100F set while on the waitlist for a brand new XS-20 and XC35 F2 set at my local provider, because Fuji cameras are out of stock in my country and I have to wait for at least one month. My aim is to use the camera to discover my photography style and practice my skills in order to pursue my passion project - exploring my ethnic identity and visual culture in my hometown. Street photography is part of my vision as well. After watching your video, I think the X100F would be a good choice for its affordability and great performance, although its size is larger than the XS-20. Somewhere in my thoughts, I'm also considering potential upgrades in the future. If it's not too much to ask, what would be your advice considering all of the above?

Is this the best video about the X100 on KZbin??? In my humble opinion, yes. It sums up everything about the X100 I believe in, can it be your everyday camera, absolutely, it is my everyday camera. So many times I’ve been on trips, I live in Inverness 40 mins or so from Findhorn to give you perspective, the West coast, Skye, the Western Isle and Islands I’ve dragged around DSLR, Mirrorless kits the whole shebang and what’s got the most use? the X100 of course it’s just simply brilliant.
