Im in the middle of a pani tear down right now. How did you split the cases? Did you buy the liner puller tool? I kept slowing down your video to see , but it looks like you didn’t pull the piston sleeves. Any help would be much appreciated 😊

Ducati 99.9% effort goes into looks, .1% goes into mechanical reliability. The disillusioned Ducati owner that I now am. Will never buy another one. They're just a name/brand that make pretty, but mechanically unreliable bikes..

The Honda VFR 800 without the can is an absolutely sounds like a brute. Aftermarket exhaust give the VFR's it's true sound. Greetings from Australia. I've had two VFR's 750/800 and planning to get another one hopefully before Christmas.

Very good informative video . I had the car new in 2015 and after various other cars I’m going back to this exact model to get the fun back into driving . Buying from BMW 1 owner 27k so should be good .was nervous about buying an older car as I always have new . Your video has convinced me it’s the right move. Thank you

I bought my 94 916SP decades ago… It does not feel like any other bike I have ridden. It’s just extreme. ❤

And that’s why I will never buy a Ducati,, any thing u have to buy for them is crazy prices,, I no they build a nice bike but dam,, Ducati no they can charge big money for the bikes and parts,, they have convenience enuff fanboys that there bikes are worth it,, I’ll stick with the Japan bikes and aprilia,, aprilia parts are a little pricey but nothing like Ducati, mind boggling prices

a commonly overlooked issue is an injector leaking fuel, excess raw gas pooled up in intake port when engine not running, hit starter button and dumps into cylinder creating momentary hydro lock, damages rods, after a few occurrences out go the bearings

That is lovely. 😍. I have a 99 version. (Green/purple) Great bike, no electronic rider aids just the bike and the rider. Happy days.

I am not a fan of the V2 Ducati engine. My experience was needing a full-time mechanic during track days plus a bucketful of clutch plates! Reliability hopeless.

Same.. I'm completely disillusioned with the Ducati brand now. Nothing but oil leaks with my Panigale V2. Ducati 'technician' attempted to repair the leaks under warranty but actually damaged my bike even more..

@@colinoz you know well that some of these tecs are not very good and the prices sky high. Duration are beautiful but I prefer boring reliable Jap bikes....

The Ducati handling is great I’ve never ridden a bike that handled so well gone into some bends a bit too fast and the bike got me round a them no problem. Also had a Honda cbr 600 great bike but the Ducati for handling was far better.

Fantastic machine! Great review - those pipes echoing through the woods! Yum! Managed to purchase one a few years back but yet to ride it. '89 UK bike that needs restoring. Wasn't cheap even in it's current state but since learnt it was a Stan Stephens tuned back in the day and it actually features in one of the performance mags from around 1992 :) She will be on the road one day!!!

@@jamescrawshaw71 Ah, not for sale I'm afraid. Over the years I've picked up a few rare vehicles that really float my boat. I've learned to hold onto stuff where possible - all too easy to part with stuff and never be in a position to buy back in at a later date. The TDR could end up being a retirement project (a fair way off yet!) :) In the meantime I'll enjoy seeing vids such as yours to remind me how damn cool they are! Oh - and mine was in Performance Bikes magazine February '92 edition. Would load up a pic but can't see how to.

Perfectly clean two-stroke sound. I have a 250 TZR, but in the spring there is a difficult replacement of the crankshaft struts. I also need to find a cylinder head gasket that fits the oversize pistons.
