Sometimes you just know when you hear something for the first time that it's gonna be the shit...and here we are. Don't know how you can beat Cry Pretty but this is as close as it can get.

Love this. You and I met in the Backstage Bar, Cleveleys, Lancashire UK. We had quite a chat about the songs of Guy Clarke. You played a wonderful solo set that night. Cheers!

One of my favorites by Guy also. I love the line about Doc Watson, comparing him to Michelangelo and Da Vinci. I agree wholeheartedly.

No clue if you read these comments, Jason. My grandfather flew in DDay, he was from Bentonia, MS. I have a picture of him sitting in Cannes, France in 1945 on the beach in front of the Martinez Hotel. He past away in 2019 at 94, and I told him I would make it there. He always laughed at me. This July 2024, took his great grandkids there, and they all played in the French summer sun. Thank you for this song.

What a great story! Thanks for sharing that. I know how special that feels. I did the same thing on the beach where my grandfather fought. It’s unbelievable what they went through.

Wow.. you’ve gone and done it again Jason. You just made me fall in love with this song all over again. Your guitar playing at 11 seconds in, gave me goosebumps. Your voice is soulful, and smooth. Sooo smooth. 😊💗

Hi Jason, I'm a fan from Russia and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your music. I regularly play "Man on a Mountain" on my guitar and sing it myself, and it’s become a favorite of mine. I have a question about the song "She Had to Run." If it's not too much trouble, could you possibly make an amateur recording on KZbin to showcase all the nuances of the song? It would really help me understand it better. Thanks so much!

I was going through one of the best times of my life when I found your music, Jason. Almost 10 years ago now, I think. You and your music really have the most special place in my soul. I could never choose a favourite of your songs..but.. this song..Promises in Pieces, Temptation, Cry Pretty, Suffering Fools, Liars & Fools, This old Guitar and Me, AM Country Heaven, Wishful Drinking, 40 Years, Downturn, Old Guitar & Me, Why I left Atlanta, Where I’ve Been, Judgement Day.. Alright, so apparently I have a lot of favourites. Lol. Thank you for them all! 😊💗
