The photographs were truly excellent. Although, I do have a couple of Pentax 67s, I am thinking of converting one of my old folding 6X9 folders into a panoramic, accepting that there will be some limitations.
@OnlyAnalogue7 минут бұрын
Thank you so much! The 6x9 folders can take some absolutely incredible shots. I can only imagine how good they would look as a panoramic 👌 best of luck if you do give it a go 🙂

@lelandfitz176213 күн бұрын
Sorry if I missed it in the video, but what focal length did the lens have? Panoramic cameras don't need super wide lenses per se, do they?
@OnlyAnalogue2 минут бұрын
Hey! I usually use my 55 which does help and creates a more cinematic feel in my opinion but it's not absolutely essential. You can still create good looking panoramics with most lenses. It all depends on the look you are going for as well 🙂 hope this helps! Thanks for watching

Sorry I haven't been around much this year but it's been a nightmare, health wise. I broke my hip in January and spent 3 months in hospital, recuperating after the replacement and trying to shake off the hospital accquired infections. In addition my cancer is playing up again, spreading to my ribs and shoulders. All in all, not nice. I still follow what you and Josh do, it's just that replying to posts tires me out.

Great to see the Rollei back in action Tom, TLRs are great! Were you using filters on the provia shots, the taking lens looked like it had a green tint or is that a coating?
@OnlyAnalogue14 күн бұрын
Hey Richard i did have a yellow filter on but i shot a roll of black and white that day that got messed up in the development process and the rollei was slipping so had double exposure but i fixed the issue with the rollei now and repaired the light leak so its all working so thats why i fort I would take it to Cornwall and shot the lighthouse and i used the yellow filter with some hp5 and was very surprised at the results could be down to my new scanner but i will carry on shooting the rollei as i do love using it thanks for watching 😊

Xpan is a model of camera… panoramic photos are just called panoramas
@OnlyAnalogue18 күн бұрын
We are aware don't worry. I wondered who would bring this up while editing. A while back we made a video on this which was an 'xpan hack' for people to get the same results as an xpan but in medium format cameras and it just kind of stuck. 🤷🏻 I know a few others that call them xpans. I know it's a camera... No biggy 😂

I'm sorry, I've only ever developed black and white myself. Just to confirm with this kit you can re-use all the chemicals for up to 15 rolls of color film?
@OnlyAnalogue18 күн бұрын
Hey! That's all good, no need to apologise. It can seem daunting but it's so straight forward. That is correct 🙂 you can use all the chemicals, straight in and out of the bottles until you see a dip in quality. We managed to get a bit more than the recommended amount of rolls on the box. But once you start to see a dip in quality you can just replace parts of the chemicals that you need instead of buying the whole high kit again 🙂 hope this helps!

really nice work guys! The shots look great in B&W, have you tried using infrared yet? Interesting to see the difference between pano's on a 6x7 and 6x9 camera, I'll have to try it again with my Fuji GSW690. I have recently experimented with an anamorphic lens on a 35mm SLR, it should produce a 2x1 image but haven't seen the results yet so no idea if i wasted a roll of film!

Well done on the video and on pushing to get outside your comfort zone.... Just purchased a Rollei 3.5 MX-EVS type 2 and one of my projects is to step into and onto the street, get out of my comfort zone (at 61) thanx for posting your experience, inspires others to be a bit more vulnerable in life. Glad I came across your channel, keep pushing out of that comfort zone... Cheers..

since when were panoramas called Xpans? Xpan is a model which came out well after panoramas were a thing.
@MakersTeleMark18 күн бұрын
He's the only one in the world who calls them that. It's quite humorous. Along with the lav mic setup.
@OnlyAnalogue18 күн бұрын
I thought someone might bring this up while I was editing. Originally we create it as an xpan 'hack' to use in medium format cameras for those that want the same results as the xpan but couldn't afford one. It's still not cheap but it's definitely a cheaper option. Other photographers I've spoken to call them xpans... But it's just kind of stuck since the 'xpan hack' video I guess 🤷🏻
