Thank you, this looks like my AMT 835 and was very helpful. I wish it was a bit easier to remove the panels but it was not a big issue. I think this is a great machine.

The engineers behind this thing should be fired. The panel removal is a joke. Battery terminal access is ridiculous. Then, the battery itself can't even fit past it's plastic housing. These machines just need to go away altogether. Few people even like them.

Removing the battery was indeed tricky. What I did was took off the other (opposite) side panel too. That allowed me to see the red terminal easily and slide the battery out. When it gets to the end of the slide... that's where it gets tricky. You just have to work at it like Tetris. Once removed, I decided to trim the top of the white plastic that holds in the battery (just a bit) so I could get the new one in easier. Funny, my daughter has a Volkswagen beetle and I think the same engineer designed the batteries! What a pain!

Why do engineers design equipment that is so hard to remove the panels? It’s in all industries, cars, toys, copiers, etc. more time is spent on removing and replacing panels, that on actually repairing the equipment.

Thank you for the great instructions. I was easily able to replace my battery. It's a big help when you can see how things come apart and go back together again.

Thanks but hardest part was removing the battery!!! Disconnecting & reconnecting the red terminal cables wire was difficult and the battery wont slide out of its housing without jamming against the plastic side frame on the side and the housing on the left. Wish you video showed you actually "removing" the battery

The battery won’t come out completely unless we take all the casings apart, like you said it’s jammed up. How did you end up doing it?

@@borathu7283 it should come out as you jiggle it and move it at an angle next to that iron wheel. Putting the new one in was much easier. I had to put some stress on the housing which thankfully did not break it. Literally an extra 1-2mm would have been all it needed

I used a screw driver to remove the positive terminal connector. With patience it was easier to replace

Outstanding video. Have to replace battery in my wife’s 100i and this video proved more useful than anything found through a web search. Thanks.
