some one can build and sell a simple tractor or ATVs, no federal emissions bs. I bought a Camam with a warranty and theft insurance, but a teeny tiny little mouse chewed the board, and it cost me $3600 on a UTV! "because thats not warranty" I keep a 80hp 1999 discontinued Long tractor going rebuilt it 10 ways to sunday and I highly doubt I spent $7000 in 7 years. includes a new clutch. and hiring other people to do it most of the time

Mr May and his Board have an abundance of power and a good balance of knowledge. It will be interesting to see how this group does against numerous lawyers working for the American farmer, the United States Congress, and the United States Justice Department. Is it possible the CEO and Board have underestimated the opposition?

John Deere would have fired the guy that came up with the "proprietary" nonsense about the repair of their products. It is obvious that modern John Deere corporation has forgotten at least nine of the ten good lessons John Deere pioneered for them.

When your John Deere machine (that you paid for) breaks down they just don’t help you. If you are lucky they service you in a month. It’s all in the software/(low)hightech hardware. Why are they so evil? This can not be in their benefit.

Yeah, the issue is that leafy vegetables cannot provide the base load of the human diet. Its still quite a way from profitably farming potatoes, carrots, beetroot, peanuts, onions, radishes and other heavy foods.

how does one simply say, that if ya didn't see this coming, then ya missed the narrative they intended is right in front of you. as a kid I growing up i knew gmo was dead wrong, odd how corn is used mostly for fuel, why it ranks high in market. as farmers caved to the ''comforts' and snake poison, in debt, what could possibly go wrong? here we are!!

I am a farmer. But how stupid is a farmer that knows they can't fix their own tractor when they buy them but they go ahead and buy them any way. Just plain stupid. There are a lot of tractor makers out there. Don't spend your money on a lost cause. Start thinking for yourself. What this video show is true. If control is taken away then just walk away, simple. I will not buy a tractor with electronics like John Deere uses. I don't need a self driving tractor. Thing is, when I was 8 years old I was driving a tractor and I still remember how. I will soon be buying a number of tractors but they won't be John Deere.

Jeremy Clarkson only bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax the same with Dyson who bought farms. Most farms are small so I doubt many will pay a much tax. it's still lower at 10% everyone else pays. Average farmers would pay around £1.5k. Brexit has done way more damage to farming. NFU President Tom Bradshaw has warned that the collapse in confidence has seen 7,000 agricultural businesses close down since 2019 with the loss of EU subsidies of about £3.5 billion annually. Then there is the power of the Manufacturers and Retails that cost farmers a lot of income.

Jeremy is doing an incredibly useful job, pointing out the foolish decisions of bureaucrats and voters. As a farmer I find it incredibly frustrating that people who know nothing about how a farm works vote and make decisions on how farms are to be operated ... then they complain about the increase in food costs!
@jamestipton7872Ай бұрын
see the issue is that the prices for the good that are sold from farms are too low. they wouldnt need subsidies and grants or any of that nonsense if farmers could get good prices for the goods they produce. importing mass amounts of good abroad drive prices for domestic goods to absurdly low levels. get rid of the inheritance tax. get rid of most of imported goods and farmers will be fine. less taxes. more food. happy people.

Forget UK... Its the same shit GLOBALLY... I'm from a farming family in Nepal, government has taxed farming equipment so high that its cheaper for us to rent combines from India, pay the customs and have them work our fields than buying a combine ourselves. We can't upgrade above old tractors because of this. Any type of modification you do to them, is illegal so you can make spud/grain extractors yourself Gotta buy it from India or China because both countries lobbied our government. I truly believe modern wars will be for food & farmlands very soon. Ukraine's grain shortage & American farms being bouth by corporations is a clear example of this

1:58 I love how you didn't tell anyone how it got demolished. Jeremy Clarkson made a bet that if his car was not the fastest around the track, then he would allow James may and Richard Hammond to demolish his house, and they decided to blow it up. It just so happened there was a wedding going on nearby.

Telly guy gets a farm, can't run it well, takes a loss, finds out farming is competitive business, throws a little fit. What the hell is this AI-written fluffjob? He buys cattle, and whatever nonsense video this is goes on about "his vision" and him being "a lighthouse of hope that shows the way to strength and success" ... because he's a TV millionaire who bought cattle at a loss. Strange that no other farmers, ones that have to work for a living, have never thought of something so creative and innovative before. Sounds like the reason the local council dislikes him is because the locals dislike him. Look at those small roads. He's already causing traffic congestion from tourism, bothering the locals, and now he wants to start a restaurant? In a rural area where people don't like him? That means more tourism, more congestion on those tiny roads. Chances of turning a profit? Slim, to say the least. This is just the story of a spoiled multi-millionaire who's certain he holds the solutions, when he doesn't have any idea what he's doing, pissing off the people who actually have to live around him. He's not innovating anything, he's just throwing money around and taking a loss while blaming others. Can't farm, already authored three books about farming... what a boob. He really can't live without being the center of attention. And anyway, he wants farmers to be subsidized, makes money from government subsidies himself, literally made hundreds of thousands of dollars from subsidies despite a fortune of over £50 million, and he bought the farm to DODGE TAX? Where does he think government gets the money it spends on subsidies? FROM TAXES. And ruin WHAT "years of hard work"? What "way of life"? He just got into farming a few years ago, and he pays others to do the work while he goes back on the telly. Jeremy Clarkson is not a farmer and he never will be.
