I love watching these old videos. But anyone who thinks either of these teams were comparable to today's NBA is deluding themselves. Just to take one obvious example, the shooting is embarrassingly bad. Shot after shot just way off the mark. The Lakers shot 35% from the floor in this game; the Celtics shot 33%. Combined the two teams missed 146 attempts (not including free throws). Keep that in mind when you see the gaudy rebounding totals...there were just an absurd number of missed shots. As a point of comparison, in the final game of this year's Celtics-Pacers series, the two teams combined for 96 missed shots. Add in the speed, size, strength, stamina of the modern players and it's not even close. A top-25 NCAA team today would run either of these clubs off the floor.

Its one thing to diminish their skill, but its delusional to diminish their athleticism. Havlicek is to be said he can run the court for 48 mins. I saw Edwards not too long ago wearing oxygen mask. Imagine if they played on a non-airconditioned arena like the old Boston Garden?

I really don't see the point of the Clippers having their own arena. If they're going to that, they might as well just play at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

Any of the really old ones, back when sports venues actually had character and charm. Chicago stadium, Boston garden, old Madison square gardens. When the reasons given are things like it's outdated and lacks Some amenities, those are just BS reasons because they want some new trendy hideous buildings with no character or charm

A lot of upgrades done at the Knicks' arena, Madison Square Garden. Tons of celebs at courtside watching Knick games. The bright lights of the Mecca.

So basically the big takeway is that most of the new arenas just changed their seats from home colors to grey/black and some did the opposite. Not that big if a difference tho

I'm a Bulls fan..... I've never got to experience a Bulls game at the Chicago Stadium.... I've only been there once as a kid to see the circus.... But I've been to plenty of Bulls games at the UC, and the atmosphere there is crazy, nothing like it...... Win or lose, you're always guaranteed a good time at the Mad House 🐃🌎👀🔴

What I don't like is that a lot of them sucked out all the color from the court and the seats. I can understand the seat change since some arenas are shared with other teams, but the courts should've kept the old style. I love the AAC, but the old Reunion Arena looks more vibrant and lively. I
