The Bowl & Kettle meals are amazing. I've tried all three, and I highly recommend all of them. They are expensive, but they are worth it if you're looking to spoil yourself.

Dude that would be fun! Lot's of the coves have water running too, so you would have an ample supply of freshwater.

Hello. Could someone please advise me on which gas cartridges are suitable for the Thermacell repeller? It's about the composition of the gas that the gas cartridge should contain! I haven't read anywhere whether a gas with a higher ratio of isobutane or propane is suitable. I read in one review that isobutane is better, because propane contains substances that, when burned, destroy the device over time and then it stops working as it should. Does anyone have any experience with this, please?

I will try to make it out there with my wife, a few questions; are the mosquitoes very bad? What was the temp in August? Was it ok parking your car in that lot? Why didn’t you guys eat any of the fish?

Don't remember the temp, but it didn't get too cold at night. Mosquitos were bad close to the lakes in the evening. Parking lot is safe to park a car. We already had food planned for the trip, otherwise we may have kept a few to eat.

@ no videos but still plenty of water back there. Ranged from ankle to calf deep. Some places even deep enough to submerge. No snakes or other critters but a ton of bear scat. Looks like they are feeding on Holly Cherries

I grew up hiking the Sierras, both the west side and east side, and in the early 1970s, hiked the entire John Muir Trail. Though I will admit, the Sangre de Cristo mountains in New Mexico give the too heavily visited and necessarily heavily regulated Sierras stiff competition.
