Hi Isierrah, This is actually an integrated masters course suitable for undergraduate students - you can enter straight from finishing secondary school ( in my case A Levels) - I did Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Spanish for A Levels. Hi! Ive just accepted my offer to do the same course for next year at Newcastle Uni. How did you find completing the chemistry subjects? I didn't do any science at high school but I have enrolled myself in the refresher chemistry classes. Any tips on completing my first year?

Hi Carrie, Thank you for your question! I think first year does base a lot on chemistry and biology, so it would be useful to revisit the subjects if it's ben a while. Overall for first year it wasn't too difficult to study for, but making sure we stay on top of our work while balancing social and personal life, aka time management, is really helpful for a great year. Could I ask you If I'm a foreigner pharmacist live in the uk , what I have to start with to be a dietation ?

Hello Nahed, thank you for the comment! As a foreigner, I am assuming you have a visa of some sort. You would first check whether or not would you need a new visa for studying before anything else. As you are already a pharmacist, you can probably apply for a masters in dietetics. Hello Faye, thank you so much for the comment! I lived in Park View last year. It was not my first choice but I was super glad I got assigned there because it was super close to medical school. I think it's mainly the distance from school (I have 9 am classes very often), then the type of room (I NEED an ensuite as I hate sharing bathrooms with other people), then it's distance from city/town centre. As NCL is pretty walkable/ cycle friendly, I can get to mst places on foot. Also thinking about price, shared bathrooms would be cheaper, and also further away from the city centre/campus. Also bear in mind is the money worth all the time spent commuting to and from campus (especially when you are tired after class/work). I am actually starting a post graduate MSc this September thru scholarship, choosing accommodation is an absolutely daunting task, especially for international students like me. I am looking somewhere around Heaton or Gateshead as we are going to be 4 coming in to Newcastle from different parts of Asia. Cheers :)

@@FayeLom hello, only seeing this comment now so a bit late to the party here. as i haven’t lived there before i’m not sure about the interior, but since it’s close to st james park, it is also relatively close to business school, medical school and chinatown/ city. it would be convenient to travel around on foot or to school. but as it’s close to the stadium, there might be a bit of noise during football game days. hope this helps, marie :)

Hey Faye, thank you for the comment! Thank you for the patient wait as I have been offline for a while. Are you also in Newcastle? I lived in Park View (ensuite with 6-8 people, shared kitchen) last year as it was closest to the medical school, and I do recommend living in school accommodation to meet other people! Portland Green is very far away. @@marielidietetics Yes Marie I will be in Newcastle Uni with a scholarship this September :) absolutely the right mixture of psyched, terrified and excited lol. Thank you for the good insight of park view, much appreciated! I am still looking around for accommodation as I am still in two minds whether to go for uni accommodation (which as per managers, I will have a guaranteed spot since I am a scholar) or should I go for house/flat share with 4 other ladies who also got awarded the scholarship. So somewhere in Jesmond, Heaton or Gateshead. Cheers, Faye :)

@@FayeLom hello, gateshead and heaton are further away from main campus and city. jesmond is relatively walkable and most students live there during uni times. however, they are all accessible by metro and no worries if you plan on cycling as well. i think benefits of sharing flats would be knowing someone already when you arrive newcastle and the flat also feels less empty and more homey. it’s always scary to start a new chapter in our lives and i’m also super excited to start second year haha :) best wishes, marie :)
