Never ever mess with the occult, you can lose your soul for eternity. There is only one true path to everlasting peace and that is through our Lord Jesus. Look up Fr Chad Ripperger if you want to experience the reality of this world and the next. Peace!

I think this is the first I’ve ever seen the Sun, bloated to red giant status, swallowing the Earth, in ANY medium-particularly from the Earth’s point of view. That was a weird, beautiful, ghastly, and desolate scene. This was a marvellous interpretation of the book. Congratulations; I am going to relay this to all of my fellow fans of weird fiction-and their kids. Thank you for creating and sharing this with the rest of us; you have a right to be proud.

Nice work! Albeit...your adaptation hits rather close to home for me, as an aged recluse who lost the One. Strangely enough...i live on the edge of a large Shale Pit, and wild Hogs do often torment my dogs, and therefore myself as well. I cannot even say how many times i have slept to Ian Gordon's Reading of this story...and how many times my dreams have been highly influenced thereby. The Necromancy of Grief IS a perilous Magick. I miss my Caoimhe...

Excellent job👍. A tremendous amount of work had to be done to make this movie. For the first time I read the book in Polish ("Dom na granicy światów") some 30 y ago and went on with it lots of times in both languages. This animation holds the ghastly and spine-chilling atmosphere of the literary original, though some deviations from Hodgson's plot were introduced. What seems a bit strange is a small number of views, I can't understand why.

A great rendition of "The House on the Borderland"! Despite some differences from the original plot, it evokes so well the atmosphere of the novel and it offers a key of interpretation of the story, focusing particularly on the lost love of the old recluse

Nicely done! Not an easy story to adapt and animate. How you condensed the story was cleverly and efficiently done. I really liked how you showed the ending after the infection took hold, what probably happened to him, and with the house collapsing, etc which was just implied in the book. Really cleverly imagined 👏👏👏 thanks for doing this!!

@rightpurdy
@rightpurdy Жыл бұрын
I know! One of the most vivid scenes in the whole book! But, budget and time; my whole take on the book- to concentrate on "him" and "her"... the pit is there, the water is there, but alas, not the cave. I'd love to go back and put it in.

@@rightpurdy did you focus a lot on the whole relationship has with her in the sea of sleep? To be honest, that and the lengthy trips he takes to these other dimensions are the least interesting parts of the book. The first trip, and where he sees the universe coming to an end are great, but could be seriously condensed. I could live without the whole "her" subplot altogether, as it felt very corny and forced. Just my 2c of course!

@@jamiesalmonsculpture8599 Those passages do get moody, but like "The Nightland', add a depth and realism for me. My thought, personally, the love angle was very important, even the reason for the whole story and the answer to whether the old recluse was "thought to be mad" or not. Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it. Take a look at this and, hopefully, it wil answer some of your questions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6eng3ttmK2Dhq8

This looks fantastic!!!! I've listened to this story multiple times. Thank you, thank you for doing this. Such a bold undertaking . I can't believe such an incredible story has been basically forgotten or overlooked for so long. It's screaming out to be adapted for the screen. Will it be a single full length movie or broken into parts? I can only imagine how you'll tackle the pit scene and the raging water, the hoardes of swine beasts. I cannot wait to see this. Pepper!

@@rightpurdy i think breaking into chapters isn't a bad thing. I guess the issue would be if there was a long wait to see the next chapter. Story loses momentum. I think it's obviously up to you and your work schedule and how long this must all take. Will there be the narration over the whole story?
@rightpurdy

We have had one of these waterer's for over 40 years and its been a good basic system for our cattle. Just recently I had to redo the brass fittings that attach to the bottom of the plastic valve body. Nothing else was changed. Now the water level is coming too high, and eventually overflowing the bowl. Its a very slow trickle, but it adds up and creates an unneeded muddy hole around the bowl. Any ideas on what it would take to fix this? I was thinking of just taking a ball peen hammer and tapping a slight dimple in the bottom of the float pan. Would this work? Thanks.

I saw the first original one you did and regardless of authority of correct perspective people might jazz you about i say congratulations and well done. .. The Borderland is one of my favorite stories and I wish we had more authors and creativity like some of the old great men of the past.. I am currently interested in allot of old literature because I one day hope to create such amazing places and tales and hopefully become an author of considered talent. Therefore kudos to another person that understands like stated in Hodgsons work its up to the reader to create his or her own interpretation based on the stories or facts given in the account. ...... Keep up the good work and if you're able to suggest any other similar works or author please let me know
