Maybe you can help me with this. All of a sudden I'm having intermittent issues with Elf trigger not resetting in my newly purchased APC 9 Pro Limited. I'm probably at about 500 rounds and just started noticing this in the last 100 rounds. Shoot and I have to manually push the trigger forward to be able to shoot again. B & T CS told me to tighten the set screws, I did and now it seems worse. There's got to be an easy fix for this. The trigger seems really stiff like it needs oil or something. What are your thoughts? BT USA wants me to send the gun in. I'd rather not have to be without so long, they said turn around could be about a month.
@SeanGoBoom6 күн бұрын
It is most likely that the pull weight adjustment screw has come too loose not giving enough tirigger return spring pressure. Tighten it down a full turn or two to see where it lands you, and experiment with trigger pull weight, then once you get it to a place where you like it, use some green or blue locktite to hold it there so it won't back out during prolonged use.

Great information! Do you know if this will work with the G47? It’s similar to the G17…just curious and I thank you either way for your time.
@SeanGoBoom6 күн бұрын
That's a really good question. The G47 is basically a G17 with a shorter dust cover and thus only one slot in the accessory rail. Asking a few associates at B&T I've gotten the "it should, but I've never tried." I'm gonna do a little more digging on this. Not sure if I've ever shot a G47... it's kind of a niche configuration.
@coupesix6 күн бұрын
@@SeanGoBoom Thank you for looking into this. I have one of the Glock USW’s on the way and have a G47 just wanted to see if it would work or will I have to buy a G17. Don’t mind buying another pistol however if it’ll work I’ll spend the money of an acro. Thanks again for your time.

Reference the vertical grip. You can attach one that has a picatinny rail and mount the light.
@SeanGoBoom7 күн бұрын
Yet, still a vertical foregrip eliminates the ability to holster the gun, and gives no perceived improvement in shooting performance. It is a pistol enhancement chassis, not a pistol regression rig. If you want to adorn it with all the extras, just get a PDW and let the G17 retain it's own stock usefulness.

I am going with what looks like the Olin Winchester generic 00 buck for home defense set up. I too prefer the spread which is nicely confined to the mid section of the bad guy. In my house i do not have a shot that greater than 30 feet. Plus my generic 00 buck shot is costs $3.75 per box of 5 instead of $14 per box. Nice video though. Thanks.
@SeanGoBoom6 күн бұрын
Why do you "prefer spread?" The wider the area of impact on your target, the more precise you have to be with your aiming to mitigate the risk of a pellet not impacting your intended target. The kinetic energy of a tighter column of shot delivered to a localized area will do far more damage (especially through thick clothing), and contribute to faster loss of blood neutralizing a threat sooner. Not to mention an $11 difference in ammo price is hardly a real consideration for rounds you're relying on to preserve your own life. I mean $11, that's like a gallon of gas under the Biden administration. :)

This particular setup is braced for easier interstate transport for different events and road travel it accompanies me on. That is not to say I don't have SBR variants in my possession, but they are for different applications. Part of the considerations when buying or building an NFA item is what you intend to use it for.
@Datsmepepe13 күн бұрын
do these attachments make it into and NFA item? I have a g22 that I just dont have a use for in everyday life, but a nice bag gun for hiking utah I could see it becoming. I was looking at recovertactical attachment but it is definately a nfa item at that point.
@SeanGoBoom13 күн бұрын
Yes, attaching a stock to a centerfire firearm with a barrel shorter than 16" is classified as a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR) according to the National Firearms Act (NFA) of 1934 and is subject to further regulation on the Federal level and likely the State, County, and City level (depending on where you live). Utah's regulations are pretty uniform, and make the acquisition, transportation, and use of NFA items for personal protection pretty universal as long as you possess a current and valid Concealed Firearm Permit.

@SeanGoBoom6 күн бұрын
In this gun, I'm currently working with a Light Mod, but I ALWAYS encourage my students to start with a Cylindar to find the best possible performing buckshot for their gun without any constriction caused by a choke and THEN to experiment with chokes once getting as close as possible to desired patterning with just ammo choices first.

@SeanGoBoom26 күн бұрын
Appreciate your enthusiasm for grammar, however, "non-reciprocating" is the precise term in firearms terminology, describing an optic that remains stationary during the cycling of the action. You will find this used universally across the industry. Your word, "Non-reciprocal" is more commonly used in contexts involving mutual exchanges or agreements. Your comment makes me wonder if you are even interested in firearms, or if you are grammar police... or a grammar lawyer.

I’m surprised this isn’t more popular than the flux raider. The quality seems far superior
@SeanGoBoom27 күн бұрын
One is a poor knock-off of the other. I'll let you discern which one is which. The raider has a spring loaded brace which seems cool, until it fails, but it isn't holster-able. There are pistol enhancement chassis's that people by to make their pistol into a PDW for the poors, and there are pistol enhancement chassis's that enhance the pistol without it losing its primary functions and capabilities.

The 16" Sport model has a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle, so it'll work with anything you choose, although it doesn't really need anything of the sort. Loved your candid input comparing Athena to Artemis. I wound up going with the Athena to save some money and also knowing I am not at the level where splitting hairs would be as noticeable. If I were shooting at a Master or GM level, maybe it would be more meaningful. With dry fire, practice and training, I have miles to go as I grow into the Athena. Alicia's input was helpful too. I like the transition speed of the Athena and I feel that shooting it. Amazing pistol. It's not like it's a loser in the contest or even 2nd place. It's just different and awesome in a different way.

If you guys could get B&T to just make the standard B&T mags more durable and less less crackie (word?😅) I would buy tons of B&T mags for my SPC9. As it is im seriously looking at a Lingle mag lower so I can run CZ Scorpion mags for 1/2 the price and they are very durable. Magpull Scorpion mags are like $18 each. I'll pay good money for good mags. Just not $50+ for mags that do not have a good reputation for durability.
@SeanGoBoomАй бұрын
You're probably referring to the small batch that was recalled over half a decade ago. Your attachment to CZ mags makes me wonder how much actual experience you have in heavy use with either, because Scorpion mags aren't exactly the picture of durability and dependability you're making them out to be. The latest iteration of B&T mags (especially) fly circles around anything CZ has every put out for an SMG.

There are APC9 Limited models out there looking for their forever home. The low quantities for such a specialty item come down to such limited demand. Whenever demand exceeds original estimates of production, B&T usually does additional runs.
